The property is super cute and pretty. The rooms are nice and the location is amazing. Mauricio helped us when we arrived and he was the absolute best. He was friendly, helpful and enthusiastic. We had a little issue with the toilet, but he immediately called someone to come and fix it and it was fixed when we got back from the beach. I would definitely recommend staying here. You’re in a bit more quiet area, but it’s only a 5 min walk to the square where the town is alive at night. It’s also only a 5 min walk to the beach, so you’re super central to everything!

Quiet spot tucked away a few blocks from the center of town and the beach! Very clean, and Irais was a wonderful and very responsive host. She booked tours and a shuttle back to the airport at a discount for us and also recommended some great restaurants. When it rains the roads get muddy to walk around, but there is a foot wash station right at the entrance to clean your muddy/sandy feet upon return. The rooftop pool is a perfect option to escape the heat. Breakfast fruit and pastries included was a great bonus too.

The pool was beautiful but more designed for a quick dip than actual swimming. There were limited sun beds but we got one no problem.

We were welcomed on arrival by Mauricio, who was super chatty, friendly and explained in detail everything we needed to know about the hotel and Holbox. Our room was 10/10 and felt very luxurious - comfy and clean bed, great shower and shampoo and shower and beach towels provided. The self service kitchen was very convenient and rare to come by for hotels like this one. We could walk to the beach in less than 5 minutes and loved chilling for the afternoon on the sunbeds on the roof. Coffee and pastries were served in the morning before we got our ferry. The decor and general vibe of the building was amazing, I wish we could’ve stayed longer!

Everything was great.

Visiting Casa Mech feels like coming home (if home was a stunning, tropical island in the Gulf of Mexico). The property itself is lovely - mostly you are protected from the baking sun when at the hotel itself, unless you choose to relax in the pool during the mornings when the sun is shining down on you (also a treat). The rooms are comfortable and stylishly decorated (but in a manner which fits with the island location). The rooftop pool is a lovely place to escape the heat and cool off plus there are sun loungers if you want to top up your tan! The best thing about Casa Mech however, despite the property itself being great, is the hospitality shown by Iraís and Mauricio. The sibling duo who run Casa Mech are so kind and caring that we wouldn’t dream of staying anywhere else on the island. Every little detail is taken care of, if you need anything they are more than happy to help plus they’re simply two wonderful, warm-hearted souls who give you a positive boost just by talking to them. If you’re going to Holbox then Casa Mech is the place to be ❤️

It was a great place to stay, very beautiful, and comfortable spacious rooms. The pool/rooftop were also great to relax, and there’s some coffee, fruit and snacks available in the morning. The best about the place, however, might be Mauricio and his sister, they were super helpful in navigating the island and booking tours.

Mauricio was a great host! Super friendly and welcoming and provided a lot of good information. Every morning there was coffee. Furthermore, the room was very spacious and clean. The rooftop is nice to chill and the location was also great!!

Our stay was exceptional, Mauricio was an incredible host and made us feel so welcome and gave us some useful tips to explore the island. We loved the rooftop pool and spend a lot of time relaxing there. The place was super clean and there was fruit/coffee and pastries available in the morning. Would definitely recommend

We had a fantastic stay with Irais! Hands down the cleanest property we stayed in during our three week trip, it always smelled so clean. Bed was really comfy with good pillows, and the location was great!

The only negative was some noise, but we had earplugs. If you stay in room 5, the bedroom window is very close to an adjacent residential unit, and the folks staying there would be talking loudly at about 1am to 2am. We thought they maybe worked an evening shift and then came home or something.

The room and grounds are beautiful and the bed very comfortable. The rooftop pool area is a lovely spot to have your morning coffee. They provide coffee, tea, fruit, and pastries in the morning. And you have access to cold drinking water and boiling water for tea all the time, which is really nice. There is a communal fridge in the kitchen. The highlight of our stay was Mauricio's hospitality - he literally went the extra mile for us by chasing us down at the ferry with a shirt we had left behind. He was really a brilliant host!!

Absolutely amazing hotel!!!! Staff are really friendly and kind, they gave me many tips to enjoy Holbox which is reliable, room and common space was clean and quiet, and the location was close to a beach and the ferry port. My favorite part was the rooftop, peaceful and very relaxing. I definitely come back to Holbox and this hotel!!! Thank you both of you :)
