Not for light sleepers (curtains are very thin). There was a couple with 2 dogs in the room next door, who went into our terrace, barked at all times and sometimes were without a leash on the common areas. Even though staff was great the could have been more thoughtful towards other guests handling this situation.

You can hear the main road from the bedroom. But with some earplugs, you forget that its even there

Beautiful and with direct access to the lagoon. We loved relaxing on the sunbeds, watching the sunrise over the lagoon, and taking the free paddle boards out. Our host, Perrine, was very nice and friendly.

Nothing! The property is a bit of a drive into town, which is fine if you have a car. The hosts gave us the contact info for a reliable taxi service which worked well.

The entire property was gorgeous. The room was so beautiful and the access to the water was great. It was quiet and peaceful. The breakfast was nice as well!

Everything! The place it’s so calm and nice Perrine and the staff are amazing the rooms are very clean and you can feel the peace and having the lagoon outside it’s amazing, plus they have paddle board and kayak that you can use without extra charge

Amazing place to be in the middle of nature, quiet and friendly. Super clean and very romantic. One of the best traveling experiences I have ever had.

These are not criticisms just suggestions - 1. It would have been really cool to have bicycle usage. Otherwise taxis worked fine, but better to have your own car given the distance to town. 2. Breakfast provided was simple toast and simple cereal. You are able to cook your own eggs etc in the kitchen, but a slightly more elaborate breakfast offering would have been really nice! 3. There were workers present building a deck during 2 days of our stay. This is obviously quite unusual but I think for the disturbance a discount or something else should have been offered.

Really enjoyable stay here. Lovely French owner who explained everything and was available for any questions during the stay. The communal breakfast area is lovely and the water is delightful for a swim/ kayak. Would definitely stay here again!

Everything was exceptional besides the access road to the location. Not a major issue but a bin with a lid and better shower drainage would be really appreciated.

The road to get there from the main road is somthing... Full of holes and rocks. Hard to find the entrance at first.

Very small and nice hotel. Only a few rooms and feels very secluded yet close to the center of Bacalar. Community kitchen that you can use to cook and where they serve breakfast. Simple breakfast: bread, jelly, coffee and fruits but does the job. Easy access to the lagoon and SUP/Kayak that you can use free of charge.

Nothing major to report. The final 30 meters of the path to reach the hotel are a bit of a mess - not easy with a low car. Maybe it will get fixed.

Nice small hotel by the lake - which is the best thing there is to it. You can wake up, get out of your room and dive straight into the clean, warm water. The room is fine, nothing special but clean, with a large bed and the AC works well. The outdoor kitchen deck is kind of cool too.

Since you are next to the garden and lagoon, there will be insects in the room. Especially when it’s rainy and humid. But insect killer is provided

Peaceful and pleasant location. We loved sitting on the pier with our morning coffee enjoying the many colors of the lagoon. Perrin was excellent in helping us with suggestions for restaurants in Bacalar.

The noise of the lorries driving along the road all the way through the night just behind the house. The lights being left on in the communal space in front of the rooms all night.

Lovely location; beautiful spacious modern room and exceptionally comfortable bed. Beautifully designed and being on the lake with free to use paddle boards etc was exactly what we sought. Perrine who met us at the accommodation was a superb host throughout.

If you are a light sleeper, the trucks going by the road can be quite noisy, as rooms are not very sound proof (same as other places in Mexico) :)

Such a nice place, easy to unwind, the staff was great, the sunrise is magnificent on the lagoon and free kayaks and paddle boards are such a great addition!

Excelent place to stay if you are looking for a space where you can relax and be with nature. The rooms were great , very clean and with great space. Location was perfect for all the activities we did. We definitly would stay at Pucté next time we visit Bacalar.

The bumpy road to get there. Nightmare if you have a car and sth taxi drivers were not happy about - but I assume it's not a simple fix.

Place is designed and organized in a very thoughtful and relaxing way. Great bathrooms, bed and the view over the laguna. Available paddle board and kayak (even though for 2 hours - you would be too tired to use it longer haha). Great that they offer simple breakfast at the property so you don't need to hassle to town. There are also Laguna friendly toiletries available: wow. My partner thinks that common space.could be limited by half to have more laguna view :) and to get more privacy in the ground rooms. It was great to have truly English speaking host (not just translate conversations from Spanish to English and back). And place looks exactly like on pictures or even better.

The road towards the property is not well marked; no signs. So even with the exact coordinates, a bit more difficult to find the first time.

Very nicely decorated villa with spacious rooms, which was very clean. Nice small breakfast. The view from the pier is beautiful (no lake view from the rooms). Free to use SUP’s and kayaks.
