The road can be very noisy at times, although I did get used to it, stayed for 10 days.

Host and family really helpful and friendly, dealt with any small problems immediately, organised a taxi to the airport for me at 5a.m getting up himself to see me off. Comfy bed, plentiful bedding. Roof terrace a real suntrap with great views over the city and beyond.Local area many small shops with friendly proprietors. Property extremely good value for money and in an area with few tourists.

There are many various shops nearby.The owner and his family are very kind and friendly. I’m glad the shower has hot water! The drinking water is free.

I arrived at Bouda and wanted to stay nearby and was very lucky to find this place. Guest house owner is super welcoming and caring. Very clean rooms that have table and chair for working on laptop. Also i liked Needle-punched carpet on the floor. i think it's good design decision! i've been in many guest houses and never seen this. this cover makes the room more comfortable!

20 mins walk as I need to do Kota often

Quiet area, is local area, safe district and yet walking distance to Boudha stupa though 20 mins walk. Can do shopping here too

Close to the bus station for Nawalpur, the terrace is amazing and it is close to the Buddha Stupa. And Hira has been an amazing guide of the city, I had an amazing stay. Thank you again.

A lovely homestay, located in a really nice local area. Even if it's just a short 15-minute walk to the busy Boudha Stupa area, this gem of a place is hidden away on a small peaceful road, with local daily life. The host, Nayan, is very welcoming. Helping you with everything and speaking fluently English. The room is clean and comfortable. Free drinking water in the hallway and water boiler in the room. Shared clean bathroom, with hot water. You have access to a beautiful rooftop with lovely views. The room for rent is on the ground floor, so you can hear daily life from outside, and because it's close to the airport, the sound of airplanes taking off. In night time it's very quiet. For me, this place is perfect. Thank you!

Diamond Home stay is lovely house , cosy, safe and very clean. The rooftop is very agreable for a Coffee. In the morning and chat. There is a washing machine, this is a must. The manager is very welcoming, cheerful and caring. Ida , attentive , made my stay most confortable . He is helpful, understanding and friendly . I really appreciate the cleanliness.

It was not clear from the description that the bathroom is shared between 3 guests. And my room in particular was very noisy, looking out on a tiny but busy street - maybe one can check in advance with the owner if a quieter room is available

Good place on the whole, nice owner and non-touristy neighbourhood. Enough furniture in the room, mosquito nets on the windows. The bathroom gets cleaned often enough

A place in a non-tourist area, with local people and local lifestyle. I loved my stay there, so peaceful and full of everyday life at the same time. There is a cool and laid back vibe there and the owners are great people. Basic room and amenities but it's a taste of real Nepal. I would have extended my stay but it was already booked!

I was a little apprehensive at first as this was my first time in Kathmandu and I was on my own but the whole family were unbelievably kind, caring, helpful & accommodating right from the start. They immediately made me feel so comfortable. They even showed me cool spots around the city which tourists wouldn't get to usually see / know of and were always quick to recommend other lesser known / less touristy places to visit / eat as well as the major cites. They even offer a full tour of the city at an exceptionally good price which includes transport. Whenever I were to message they would respond instantly with the utmost help. I also loved going up to the terrace in the mornings to stretch and soak up the morning sun - it really gave a really great perspective of the city and was very peaceful. The house was very quiet in the evenings and everyone was very respectful. Last but not least the price was exceptionally good value for money. I can't recommend this place enough. Being slightly further out from the very centre of the city (still close enough), I felt, gave me a much more authentic experience of the city where I could integrate myself more easily with the locals and form more genuine authentic connections with them.
