A good location walking distance to most local attractions, good restaurants and the hosts were most obliging and friendly. Would highly recommend if you wanted to visit the Auckland area but we're not keen on staying in the city, Devonport is ideally located just a short ferry trip away.

I would highly recommend Andelin Guest House. I thought staying in Devonport was a perfect place to stay to visit the Auckland area. The rooms were very comfortable and had everything we needed. Appreciated the coffee/tea and milk available.

The only downside of our stay was the beds, which we found very uncomfortable. This did take away from the otherwise relaxing and cosy experience of the property.

Andelin Guest House is a beautiful property with a warm and inviting feel. The house, lounge, and rooms are all well-presented, and the spacious luxury bathroom was a real highlight. Check-in and check-out were easy, and the owners were lovely—friendly, helpful, and full of great local recommendations. The location worked perfectly for us, being close to friends we were visiting, and also offering a pleasant walk to the main street for coffee, groceries, and cafes, as well as convenient access to the ferry.

Rooms We’re very comfortable. In a period house, but decorated in modern style. Great location to the town and the ferry over to the city.

A very pleasant stay and help with check in and luggage from manager David . Also helpful in organising taxi services . An excellent recommendations for restaurant Signal Point , and Taupo Indian Cuisine just across the road for wonderful food and professional staff.

Staying a bit out of the city was perfection. We had a view of Auckland from our window! Close to great restaurants (thanks for the recommendations!) and close to the ferry. Room and facilities were homey. Highly recommend!!

The only small thing that took us just the first night to adjust to was the traffic noise out front. Earplugs helped!

A beautiful Victorian villa with views out to Auckland. Very conveniently situated a few minutes walk from Devonport with its lovely shops, cafes and restaurants. Easy access to Cheltenham Beach and short walk to the ferry to Auckland. Our room was beautiful, full of character and very comfortable. Highly recommend.

Great location in laid-back Devonport, just a 15-minute ferry ride from downtown Auckland. Ample free street parking in front of the guest house. Lots of cafes and restaurants within walking distance. Quaint Victorian building, with high ceilings and lots of original features. Great second-floor veranda to relax and enjoy the view of Auckland’s skyline. View of an old church and cemetery (!!) from bedroom window. Bedroom had all we needed. Modernized bathroom. Common area with coffee machine.

There was no table in the room but they let me bring in the porch one. My room on the groundfloor had no views.

Charming hosts, lovely home next to pretty Church and on a bus route. There is a coffee machine in the lounge upstairs which is a nice change from instant coffee!

This is a very nice guest house with a welcome feel to it. Having a good coffee maker in the gathering room was great. We appreciated having a fridge to store the things we had with us. David gave us great advice and information and was very friendly. We were there 3 nights and all went very well. The town is lovely with nice cafe's and eateries. We could walk to everything including the ferry port. Parking was always available on street in front of the gate. We would be happy to stay there again. The bathroom was beautiful.

Wonderful house, very nice room, comfortable bed and nice to sit on the balcony in the evenings. We liked Devonport so much and enjoyed the walk to the ferry for a trip to the city. Nice Cafes and Restaurants. Would definitely recommend and stay there again.
