If you’re looking for a place that instantly feels like home, this is it. From the moment you arrive, Don makes you feel right at home. He’s genuinely one of the friendliest and most welcoming hosts you could hope for—always up for a great chat and happy to share local tips (make sure to ask him about his favourite coffee spot, it’s a good one!). The space itself has such a warm, homey feel—beautifully put together, calm, and instantly comfortable. Mission Bay is just down the road, and its lovely no matter the weather—perfect for a walk along the beach or a lazy afternoon people-watching by the water. There are plenty of restaurants nearby too, but honestly, the Airbnb is so cosy and relaxing that you might just find yourself staying in and ordering some Uber Eats instead. It’s also super convenient to get around—there’s a bus stop just down the road if you’re exploring without a car, but if you’re driving, there’s plenty of space to park right on site. Everything about this place just makes life easy. It’s the kind of stay that makes you want to slow down, unwind, and linger a little longer every time.

This was another wonderful stay, and I know it definitely won’t be my last. Don is not only an outstanding host but also one of the warmest and most welcoming people I’ve ever met—he makes you feel instantly at home. The space is spotless, peaceful, and so thoughtfully set up, and those views still take my breath away no matter how many times I see them. There’s something really special about waking up here and watching the sunrise—it never gets old. The location is ideal too: while the bus stop is close by, I love taking the walk through the memorial park down to the waterfront. It’s such a beautiful way to start or end the day.

Very comfortable room in the basement of the owner's house. Well equipped with all different sorts of coffee and tea facilities. Don is a super friendly host who really cares about his guests.

Don, the host, went above and beyond in making me feel safe as a solo female traveler. He definitely looks out for his guests in a kind yet unobtrusive way. The location was easily accessible to getting around Auckland and not too far of a walk down to a nice beach.

The host Don was really nice and welcoming. He made sure we were well taken care of during the stay. The personal touch with the welcome card and allocated parking spot with my name was really cute. Great location for me, place was very clean with pretty much everything I needed. Don got me soy milk and English tea specially which was great. Super comfy bed and very spacious areas.

The accommodation was very reasonably priced and comfortable, and the provisions were very generous. Still and sparkling water was supplied, plenty of milk, coffee grounds (plunger) or Nespresso pods, and a machine were also provided. There were plenty of tea options too. The very pretty Mission Bay is a short drive away! ( about 20 min to walk). Don the host was also very friendly and helpful!

More opportunity to make your own food would be nice but the house doesn’t really have the opportunity for that. There is a table, toaster, kettle, fridge, and coffee making equipment (with milk in the fridge). There’s a Nespresso machine and pods for a quick coffee but we LOVED the French press and Nespresso milk fridge.

Comfortable and clean. Don was an amazing host and went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable and helped us see the sites that we wanted around Auckland. Complete privacy offered while we were in his house. Best B&B experience yet!

What an absolute find- classy, convenient and comfortable From the moment we arrived Don made us feel right at home. From the spacious bedroom to modern bathroom everything was spotless and clean. We felt genuinely welcome from the moment of arrival, more so than any other B&B we have visited previously. Highly, highly recommended!
