The breakfast and snacks were excellent and we enjoyed the sunshine and paddock view through windows while having food.

The thoughtfulness of how the room was set up. Lots of space and the most comfortable bed. The kitchen set up with different continental breakfast choices. This was my pick of the holiday. The bonus for me was the incredible stunning villa it was attached to. This rural property doesn't disappoint. Loved the cows in the paddock next door. Perfect for a break away. Can't wait to go back.

Everything was perfect and providing snacks and breakfast was excellent.

It was easy to get into the property, the bed and pillows were really comfortable and shower was great. It was perfect for us as we needed to get to the airport around 11 in the morning and we wanted a no stress drive.

A lounge chair would be nice but not essential.

Huntley House is an amazing building and it felt really special to be able to stay there. Hayley, the host, was friendly and helpful. The bed was really comfortable. I really liked the historical feel of the place.

There was breakfast and snacks supplied, the location worked well for why we were in the area, but property was spectacular with the main house our room and gardens. Highly recommend, shame we only stayed the one night.

The location is close to the beach. The accommodation is very good and made even better that a history of the property, move from original location and renovation was provided. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. The snacks and breakfast food was plentiful. A great place to stay at.

Such a cute place to stay. It was a pleasure to meet the lovely and inspirational owner. I delighted in all of the wee snacks. Breakfast options were also plentiful and much appreciated.

There was just the issue and that was the little “lip” on entering thru the door. One of us tripped on this until we knew to avoid. Not a major but it might be for someone else.

There was everything we could possibly need and the little touch’s of the chocolates were most welcome. The breakfast was substantial and suited both of our different breakfast palettes. The whole room was spotlessly clean and tidy. And the fact that we neither heard or saw anyone was great. The added benefit to us was that the original house came from where we grew up and knew the story. Not knowing this before we booked!

I loved everything about this stay

Frankley this should be a destination stay for any traveller in this location. The owner, who we had the privilege to meet has merged her passion for family and relaxation with her exceptional gift of hospitality into every detail of the room. The merger of modern with the past works exceptionally well. You are transported back to the past, via the vista of the main house and the beautiful rural landscape, while enjoying and eclectic mix of modern and antique fixtures in your room. With clean, modern, fully stocked and functional kitchenet, walk in wardrobe and immaculately clean bathroom, you will simply enjoy this cosey piece of paradise. Luxury hand soaps and body wash add to the plush fresh clean towels. The food provided for breakfast is an indulgence, cereals, bread, muffins, coffee, tea, milk and all the condiments and other treats to delight you. I would simply go back there tomorrow

Money was worth. Quiet,peaceful,clean,tidy, perfect location and best of all was we didn't take much food with us and didn't dine out either. There was so much of food in the room provided by the host which was enough for our 3 days stay. The Huntly House is something to stay with ones memories.

We had no complaints or issues. Very well maintained property.

The breakfast looked lovely but we had our own as we were picking up our caravan the following day.

The comfortable bed, the rural location so close to the water, and the range of breakfast foods and snacks

The bed was a queen size and, while a little smaller than what we are used to, was warm and comfortable. There was a shortage of space to put an open suitcase, but there were plenty of interesting things to look at in the room.

The breakfast selection was excellent as was the quality of the food and there was as much as you could want. The facilities were of a high quality and the Hostess was very obliging and friendly. The location is rural, but is close to a golf club and boat launching facilities into the Manukau Harbour.

Perhaps a couple of chairs for the dining table however we brought the chairs in from the deck so no real problem. The room was "compact", another metre either way would have made a big difference. However this has to be offset against the very moderate tariff.

10/10 for cleanliness. Generous allowance of breakfast food, quiet surroundings, diligent neighbourhood watch!
