Among the many wonderful accomodations on Waiheke Island, we chose Wild Thyme because they gave detailed information about the location and facilities, which made it easy for us to imagine what our stay would be like. AND Wild Thyme was PERFECT in every way! The rooms were well-equipped and comfortable, and were spotlessly clean. The view from the terrace was breathtaking, while the place is located in a convenient area, shops and the beach of Onorea within walking distance. Most of all, Jules and Bruce were great hosts, being attentive and kind. It is all thanks to their welcome, my parents and I truly enjoyed an unforgettable vacation. Another BIG attraction is Jule's Wine Tour! The information is also written on the notebook provided in your room. I highly recommend it to anyone considering staying here. She asked us about our wine preferences in advance and came up with the Perfect plan. We visited Allpress Olive Groves, Tantalus, Man O'War+lunch, Waiheke Gin Distillery and Passage Rock. It may have been partly because it was winter and the wineries were quiet, but Jules arranged with the winery staff to grant our selfish request to try wines(bubbles!) that were not on the regular tasting menu! She even arranged for us to taste limited edition gin at the distillery. She took us to hard-to-reach places in the east and south of the island, such as ManO'War and Passage Rock, where we enjoyed not only the drinks but also the charms of the island as a whole. It's only been a week since I returned home, but I already feel a strong desire to go back.

Lovely, comfortable studio room with a great view of the bay and bush surroundings. The bottle of bubbles in the fridge was a nice surprise as our stay was for a special occasion. Bruce and Jules are super welcoming and great hosts. Would definitely stay here again.

Our Wild Thyme stay was above & beyond anything we imagined. The view of Oneroa Bay from our stay was a breathtaking. Bruce & Jules were the most welcoming, friendly, and helpful hosts. The room was very comfortable & had everything we needed for our stay. The patio was the perfect spot to enjoy our morning coffee & tea, and our afternoon glass of wine while looking out over the bay. If we are fortunate enough to return to Waiheke Island, we would love to stay at Wild Thyme again.

The fact that there is no sink in the room itself is a bit of an inconvenience.

Maybe the pillows. Only because I'm fussy and like a feather pillow to sleep on!! But really couldn't fault a thing.

The location was fabulous. The garden setting and views were beautiful, our hosts Bruce and Jules were exceptional. They picked us up from the ferry and offered to take us where we needed. It made our holiday so easy. They were the best.

TV remote would not operate TV. Suggest new batteries could fix the problem.

Only spent one night . The Studio was fine for the two of us. There was some cereal for breakfast but thought a little fruit would have been better. The lady looking after the property went down the road and bought some which was very nice .

There’s nothing to not like! It really is perfect. Beautiful property with stunning views owned by the wonderful Bruce and Jules.

It’s a piece of Paradise on a beautiful island. The property, the location and the owners, Bruce and Jules are all exceptional. It’s more than a 10 rating. We finished out our travels of NZ here and Bruce and Jules could not have been more kind or hospitable to make our stay absolutely perfect.

The hosts, Bruce and Jules, were very welcoming and friendly. They were always available to help and answered any questions we had. Great service. Room was clean, comfy and had everything we needed. Very good view and good location. Just a few minute drive to most places we wanted to visit. The complimentary bottle of bubbles definitely enhanced our stay. Our only regret is that we couldn't stay longer. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to have a nice, relaxing stay at Waiheke.
