Since the guesthouse is located a bit far from the city, breakfast could definitely be improved. The couple kindly explained that they couldn’t do much about it, but bread, butter, and a single egg felt a little too modest for the price we paid. For the rate charged, a more filling and varied breakfast would make a big difference—something to help fuel guests through the day, especially when heading out for island hopping. While Ate Fatima and Kuya Onyok kindly helped us get pan de sal and other food from outside, it would be both logical and thoughtful for the guesthouse itself to offer a more substantial breakfast, as is common in El Nido or even smaller guesthouses in Puerto.

We truly enjoyed our stay at Coron Riverside, thanks to the warm hospitality of Ate Fatima and Kuya Onyok. They were always attentive and accommodating—you never even had to call, as they would gladly stop by to check in and offer their help. Their care made the experience feel like a true 5-star service. The pool was a wonderful bonus, perfect for relaxing after a full day of island hopping. We also appreciated the peaceful atmosphere, with only the occasional rooster crowing in the morning, and the neighborhood felt very safe throughout our stay.

During our stay, breakfast options were quite limited—the head manager informed us that only pancakes and bread were available, as it was considered a complimentary offering. However, we believe that breakfast was included in the cost of our booking, which made the limited selection disappointing. We also encountered challenges with transportation, as many tricycle drivers and travel agencies were unfamiliar with the exact location of the guesthouse. This made traveling to and from the property unnecessarily difficult. While we sincerely appreciated the caretakers for their hospitality and attentiveness, and taking care of us round the clock we felt that the guesthouse could benefit from additional staff—especially during full occupancy—to ensure a smoother experience for all guests.

The caretakers of the guesthouse namely Kuya Onyok and Fatima, plus their cute little Ysabelle. Kuya Onyok and Ate Fatima were incredibly attentive and welcoming throughout our stay. Their dedication to guest comfort made us feel right at home, and their kindness truly stood out. We were so lucky to be looked after by such kind and caring staff. The guesthouse is really beautiful too.

It is quite far away from the city of Coron - so if you are looking for a getaway outside of the city then it's definitely recommended, although part of the road to get there is a dirt road with a lot of bumps (locals know how to drive on the road though)

This guesthouse offers nice and spacious rooms for very good prices and has kind and attentive staff that are there to help the guests. We liked that the guest house is quite small and only has a few rooms.

There was no hair dryer in the room. There was no hot water in the bathroom but that was not a big deal because of the hot weather out there.

Amazing place to visit. We were so impressed with the birds voices in the forest everyday when we woke up. We had a great experience in there, so relaxing and peaceful atmosphere. The staff was also amazing. Mrs Fatima who was preparing breakfast for us everyday what we asked for. Mr Onyok was available all the time whenever we needed something. Thank you everything you did for us.

Everything was great! The staff was incredible. The place is really beautiful and clean. They also offer tours and transport to the town and the airport. Really recommended, great experience!. The pool is incredible also breakfast and vegetation.

The location is a bit far from the centre but you can rent motorbikes at the Villa :) no hot shower but you can survive for such a nice bathroom

The villa is beautiful, rooms and bathrooms are really spacious and nice. The staff in the villa was kind and helpful!!

The bathroom that is separate and not inside the room, no hair dryer, no mirror, no TV or fridge inside the room and the poor room lighting. Also it needs more soundproofing because you can definitely hear everything from the other room even if you are just closing a wardrobe door or when someone is peeing. The access road to the property is not paved we even saw a small snake on our way back because the driver can’t make it to the property since it was raining hard and was too slippery.

The beds are comfortable, the staff are very friendly, helpful and very accommodating even though they are overworked, even their little girl helped them already. A good sized pool that screams cleaning “algae overgrowth”

The bathrooms, all of them aren’t fully enclosed which you means you can hear everything outside. We booked this place to get away from the roosters yet we were woken up by them every morning and other neighbours. Owner of property needs to invest in better mattresses, the mattress was so firm and so uncomfortable. A single very thin sheet, no duvet. I was quite disappointed, it’s a lot of money for what it is. Would work better being rented for long periods of time or being rented by a family.

The house itself is beautiful. The pool is stunning. The couple and their child running the place are lovely.
