Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

NetherlandsFood/drinks felt overpriced compared to the rest of Palawan. Food wasn’t that great really. Comfort of the bungalows is so so, but we kind of knew what were getting into:)
Super friendly staff. Great beaches nearby as well. Very remote and quiet place, gives you a feeling of peace and quiet.

United StatesThey charge a lot to go into town (per person) so for our family of 4 it was almost 50€ to go a 15min drive. It’s far away from Port Barton. No other restaurant options so u have to eat there. Food is good but pricey.
The bungalows are a cool design. It’s nice having a gym. And the beach is relaxing even though u can’t swim.

PolandWe stayed in a beachfront cottage with a beautiful sea view and really enjoyed our time here. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and it was easy to arrange tours or rent a kayak directly at the resort. We could swim anytime, and the sunsets were lovely. The whole place had a calm, relaxing atmosphere. A great spot to unwind and enjoy Palawan.

CanadaThe room fan could have been a bit more powerful but the off grid power may be the reason. Same with the lighting, a bit dim. A rough road to get there and not great signage. The shore and water was rocky so sea shoes are highly recommended to swim.
Great view and secluded area. Not too busy so quite with a private beach front hut that had a nice full bathroom (outdoor style), and balcony with hammock and bench/ table. A welcome drink, and free snacks. A netted bed and decent towels. Decent food and drinks but a bit pricey compared to towns. Lots of shared seating options everywhere and a great hanging bed right on the beach!

AustraliaShould of had a head on shower spout to save water and disperse it better
We loved the unique huts that were airy and spacious. Johns place was right on the beach which was great as it was quieter than Port Barten but still not that far. Everything you needed could be hired or tours booked.

AustraliaThe only down side was the water and electricity was hit and miss. We wouldn’t have running water until the afternoon so couldn’t flush or take a shower in the morning, but we managed by just going for a nice swim instead. The electricity went out when we had a big down poor of rain, which is expected on a remote island. The staff were as helpful as they could in that situation.
I loved the location, so remote and relaxing with all the facilities you need there. Good food, cheap drinks and a friendly relaxed atmosphere. Staff were so wonderful and kind.

IsraelThe access there is very hard with car, try to avoid that, the food prices has extra charges that I haven't meet anywhere else, the problem is that there's no other option around.and although I found that I was overcharge and call them to take care of it, there respond was very lame and had no offer for refund. So be aware about that and insist to pay after every mea and don't trust the stuff memory. It really stain our staying there.
The place is isolated, beautifully designed, communicative honer and well arranged.

FranceRoom should be improved, wifi was not accessible, not enough light to read a book (at least for me). A cleaner garden will be appreciated. Road to come is not easy, mainly when it rained, better information for newcomer is required (the hotel can pickup you at Port Barton).
Hotel is front of the sea in a very quiet bay. Food breakfast and diner are good, team is smiling and attentive.

CroatiaThe driveway is in extremely bad condition, the food is average and the beach (the restaurant is also located on the beach) is full off sand mites, which is annoying and painful.
The remote location, lovely huts and the lush garden. The stuff was very kind and they offer transport to wherever and whenever you need.

ItalyStaff restaurant can be improvable, they are very slow and not well organized. Bungalow very very basic, nice looking, but not confortable at all! Everything is in wood, nice , but is raw wood, so you have to be aware of it , you may get hurt! Very difficult to reach the resort because of the street , it is dirt road with many potholes.
Really Beautifull Location , free pick up... nice staff ... they give us a lift to airport at the departure! Many thanks! Good suggestion about a trekking to Bigaho waterfall and beach

The property was beautiful, stunning location and bungalows. Just a little tricky to get in and out of town especially as a family of 5. Perfect if you want to just be away from it. Couple of options for food, that is plenty for a few days.
