The pool is quite small but beautiful, with a little private beach area that’s perfectly fine for relaxing. However, it’s worth noting that there aren’t many pool chairs or sunbeds available, so at busy times you might not find a free spot. One day there were no pool towels for about an hour, so just keep in mind that the facilities don’t always fully meet the number of guests. There were also a few days when the party noise was quite loud, but that only happened occasionally. Other than that, the hotel was lovely overall, and the staff were truly amazing

The hotel is great — the rooms are comfortable and the staff are incredibly kind and helpful. Breakfast was excellent, and the location right on the main street makes everything super convenient. I really liked staying here!

The bathroom - the toilet should have a door and there was a lot of potential for falling : there are slight steps down to the toilet - there should be markings to step down so you don’t trip or fall. Or ot should be flat (better). I would also have liked a hand held option in the shower. The pool was also pretty small

Everything was excellent at this hotel. Close to the water excellent location in the city and most of all your friendly professional staff!! Especially your professional ladies in the reception area at the front desk. Very nice and courteous as well as professional!! I recommend this beautiful hotel to everyone!!

Insects enter your room easily, especially some kind of midge fly or mosquito. Proximity to the beach means sand may easily enter your room from your footwear. Room has signs of aging, though still well maintained. No lifts and quite a fair bit of stairs, so not sure about mobility impaired access. Swimming pool kinda small, more for casual swimming.

Good location: not too close to the main town to be noisy or crowded, yet close enough to restaurants and shops. Good and convenient direct beach access. Clean beach and clear seas directly in front of the hotel. Shallow lagoon for wading. No noise from guests within the hotel, since adult guests only. Nice ambience from the hotel’s corridor, with a garden and stream-pond parallel alongside the hotel’s corridor. Spacious room with warm decor and good air conditioning, with a walk-in rain shower and large full-body length bath tub. In-house tour counter for booking tours around the island or to neighboring islands. In-house cooking class professionally yet warming conducted, with an in-house professional photographer to capture your cooking experience well. Friendly and attentive staff who greet you and recognize you, always keen to ensure you have a pleasant stay in the hotel. Small bonus: eclectic road-front bar that has a rotating roster of live bands/singers, with good drinks selection.

Location with regard to beach wasn't great. Water shallow & weedy.

The only small downside was the hairdryer being a bit too small for long hair.

Lovely clean hotel with a great breakfast and a perfect location, everything from spas and massages to bars, restaurants, and the shopping center is just a short walk away. The beach was spotless with plenty of sunbeds, and service was fast and helpful. The adults-only vibe made it extra calm and relaxing.

There were nowhere enough sun beds for the number of guests and so many selfish people were reserving beds early with the staff doing nothing to enforce the 'no reserving' rule. There was refurbishing work taking place in a room two door down from me which went on all day. It was supposed to finish at 4pm but always went on later. Not the hotel's fault, but noise from a nearby bar / club could be heard till 3am and was disrupted for sleeping.

Have stayed at Dara Samui many times before. Lovely room (sea view villa). Friendly staff as ever

Airconditioning could only be turned off or on to my knowledge, with no mode to pick how hard/soft the fan is blowing. Leaving it off would result in a humid room, leaving it on during the night was cold at times. Some upkeep (rubbers bath area, curtains, fridge) would be nice.

Conveniently located opposite a supermarket and plenty of bars, restaurants and massage salons, ATM on site, accommodating staff, clean room, fish pond added a nice touch, special steak night with live jazz music on the beach, food quality, superb beach view from the sunbeds.

Didn't like the prices that were quoted for food and drinks they add on VAT and 10% service charge. No other bar or restaurant does that.

The place is advertised as an adult only hotel, but turns out children over 12 are welcome. Had we known this we would have chosen to stay elsewhere.

Staff were amazing and so friendly. We had an issue with the air conditioner in our room and were upgraded to a better room so were very satisfied.

We had a late flight and had to book the shower room. I was very disappointed as the shower room turn out to be a shower in the public toilet area for a hotel of this standard this was not acceptable. My husband could not lock the shower door which is not good I suggest the hotel improves this facility as it let's the standard of the hotel down

The coffee! You need a proper coffee machine.

Loved that the resort is adult only, loved dining on the beach, loved the friendly staff. Especially loved the pop-up drinks van out the front with music each night. Didn't like the coffee!

Nothing apart from thinking our breakfast was included then on arrival being told that it wasn't. Booking.com have now changed the advert l notice, on the original ad it had a green banner on the top of the ad for dara samui
