We arrived after some heavy rain, and the room can pick up a bit of a 'wet' smell. It's not particularly bad, but it hits you as you walk in the front door of your room for a second. The room is equipped with a dehumidifier - a nice touch, but it's not hard to see why it was necessary. You will also need to regularly empty the collected water and it will fill up throughout the day. If you stay in the same room we did, there's a big window to the front of the property and the street. While it's not bad, other guests in the garden (a common space) and random passers-by can see clearly into your room, making you need to keep the curtains closed most of the time.

A nice place, the location is excellent, a short walk (maybe 10 minutes) from the mainstreet where the bus from Taitung station will drop you off. The hotel has good shops, restaurants and other services nearby and is on the edge of the main part of the city, making it convienient but still relatively calm and quiet. There's bike rental stations closeby which can help you zip around the city quickly, you won't need more. Staff are friendly, though English levels are low, they are absolutely sufficient especially when combined with google translate or similar. We were able to arrange a taxi to the ferry port, for example, and we do not speak a word of Mandarin. The rooms themselves are large, with plenty of space for storing you stuff and a good-sized bathroom. Everything is clean and well cared-for. There is good AC in the room and the windows are equipped with mosquito nets. Overall, an excellent stay in a cool city.

I needed to change dates twice because of the typhoon, but the procedure to move my dates was very confusing, having to communicate back and forth on Line and booking.com was very stressful and I thought the staff could have been more understanding given the situation. There was only one small window in the room. Kitchen facilities are limited (no knives, no toaster, only microwave.) doors are very loud, they perhaps could be sealed to minimize the noise

The reception is open from 12 noon to 9.00 pm, before that time, no one is there. In case you have questions, you have to install Line (you get a quick response though). No elevator.

Location is great, near supermarkets and stores to rent a bicycle (Giant store and Fuji). Staff is friendly I had a room on the ground floor, really spacious Free use of hot and cold water, and you can use the microwave in the kitchen to heat up your food (if needed). A lot of parking space

I have nothing negative to say about this stay, only that I wish I could’ve stayed longer!

It was in a quiet part of town, they provide a wonderful home/room with a fun side yard and badminton equipment. Near by a few local restaurants a post office and 2 7/11s. The bathroom was nice and clean, and the beds were very soft and comfortable! Great price for a three bed room too, plus the lighting looked great! Staff was also very friendly and helpful/informative.

Location is great, walking distance to night market and 鐵花村。The shower head was amazing, the strongest water coming out that I wish I have that at home. The staff was friendly and helpful when we checked in and able to communicate with them through line app when needed.

Good on all levels. Receptionist was awesome, helped me to check in early and is fast with Google Translate. Local friendly cat usually sleeps on the shoe shelf, very old and relaxed. Some kitchen tools available. Location is quiet, but good.

Their location is a bit out of the center, which is a little inconvenient if you don't have your own transportation. They don't provide breakfast, and it would be nice if they did, as there doesn't seem to be a breakfast place within easy walking distance.

Tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. Very comfortable beds with 2 pillows per person. Spacious and well-designed ensuite bathroom with a proper shower stall so your toilet seat doesn't get wet when you shower (something that is often a problem at budget Taiwanese hotels). They have a very pleasant lawn and garden adjacent to the building, with a badminton net set up and rackets and birdies available for guests to use.

Not a great location for a solo traveler on foot, ended up walking long distances in an area without foot paths, or waiting for infrequent buses.

Huge clean room and good amenities like the shared kitchen. Staff was helpful in arranging taxis.
