The not so good: The walls are like paper so you can hear EVERYTHING! there's only one bathroom/shower on the 1st floor and another on the 2nd for all the guests and the family that runs it so I often had to wait Someone smokes on the 2nd floor all the time and there's often the smell of cigarettes in that hallway It is very dated and needs some maintenance

This is a real budget stay and you should be prepared for some compromises if you stay here. The good: It is in a quiet location, only 10 minutes walk from the bus station and the area is quiet. There's a 7-eleven right next door. The lady who runs it is very kind. My bed was very comfortable It's clean I liked having a desk and chair in my room The ac worked well The hostel has a couple of bikes you can use for free

Within walking distance to the trail station. Comfy beds with nice AC. Staff was nice and helpful. 15 second walk to a 711. Room was really cheap.

The owners would enter the room without announcement. They also turned off the AC on the bedroom because they were cold right before bedtime. If you're looking for the cheapest room in Hualien, it's good value but basic.

Staff were friendly but had little English. 711 and laundry very close to hostel.

The only downside was that the lobby smelled like cigarettes (if I understand it correctly it’s okay to smoke in the lobby). But the rooms didn’t smell at all, so not a major problem.

For the price it was very nice.

It's is near to the bus stand as well as train station. We can catch the tarako bus to visit the tourist place. It's really good place to stay.near convenient stores, breakfast shop. Worth to stay.

I book a dormitory room and I didn't expect that I was mix with male roommate,which I was not comfortable to sleep.There should be a female and male room separated.

Loud Noises the whole Evening and even till 3am. The mattress is very very hard. The bathroom is okey, but a lot of private things in the bathroom. No window in the room. Very small room.

The price is not high and it is very central

Staff not really welcoming. Equipment (electrical outlets) are outdated and don't work. (i had extension cords all around my bed but they did not all work.) The staff came one morning while i was sleeping to fix things that were not urgent. i had arrived late and they came early to push my bed and make noise in the room the 2 nights i stayed.

Localisation is really great. 7 eleven next to the building and not far away from the bus and train station.
