It was convenient to get to the train and bus stations. The guesthouse is clean, neat and gave a sense of home. The friendly hosts were prompt in responding to our requests. It was also commendable that the guesthouse adopts many environmentally-friendly practices such as separating trash into recyclables and non-recyclables.

A long walk from the city itself though (but being near the train station it's easy getting a cab back and forth even if you don't speak Mandarin). Taitung is not a very exciting place to visit and I assume most people pas through as we did, on their way to the villages inland or to exploring further up the coast. For that it is perfectly located.
Very nice hotel/homestay with a cute vibe, only a five minute walk to the train station. The rooms are nice, clean and great value for the money. We also had a balcony with a view of the train tracks (which sounds like a drawback but was actually cool to look at and quiet in the evenings) and to the mountains beyond. The young hostess was friendly, spoke perfect English, was easily reachable by WhatsApp and gave us some good recommendations when we were looking for stuff to do in town.

The hosts are really friendly we feel very welcomed.
