How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The fact that it was on two sites. Check-in was on one site, our room on a different site. Between the two sites are major road works and three way traffic lights. Following check-in Room entry cards did not work that meant two further journeys through the three way traffic lights before we could get into our room. A further two journeys to check-out, very frustrating.
Spacious, modern and well equipped room with very comfortable beds.

Price too high for the amenities. No vending machines. Have to rely on Uber if you don’t have a car. The lobby is separated from the rooms.

My reservation was canceled and when we got there I had no idea. They had 1 room left, same price but only 1 bed for 4 people. Not impressed

No vending machines in satellite location. Didnt like not being in main hotel
Room, staff. Unfortunately my husband had to have emergency surgery while we're on vacation and the hotel was very accommodating in extending our reservation so I did not have to move out while he was in the hospital for 3 days. The night manager Keith was extremely helpful.

Crap on the stairwell. Tried to use the other stairs near our room but it didn't bring us near our car.
Location was great. Setting in the trees was great. Breakfast next door was great.

The pool was closed due to an accident which was frustrating but not controllable. The shower fixtures and drain were rusty and there was an ant on one of the pillow cases.
The location was great. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of pillows.

Not enough parking for second and third floor guests. Trash in the bathroom not emptied from previous guests. Tub rusty. The bare floor was sticky.

The stairwells were not air conditioned and were hot and stuffy on our climb to the second floor. We were unexpectedly charged after our departure for a non-existent pet and pet cleaning, but after a pleasant phone call with the manager the charges were reversed.
The room was clean, spacious, very comfortable, and very quiet. We had morning sun and a view over the marsh from our window/balcony. The beds were wonderful to sleep in. Our housekeeper was charming and did a great job.

Bathroom doorknob falling off, bed was lumpy and the springs made so much noise when rolling or getting in or out of bed. Exterior lighting, no signage for building as it was not on the main campus.
Room was private, quiet and had the advertised river view! The room was clean and ready!

Bathroom needs updating. Did not realize that the hotel had 2 seperate locations. Would have been nice to know since we were meeting with family there and ended up getting rooms in seperate buildings, maybe a 2-3 minute drive between but still. Also, there are no elevators and the stairwells were VERY hot.
The rooms were clean, A/C worked well, pool was fantastic! Great price, short drive from most attractions.

Wiggly handrail at front desk "cabin" ... 3 or 4 steps up but handrail loose: unsafe Despite handicapped accessibility with the shower, the steps to the room and even the ramp to the room were a struggle (ramp uphill). Also, room dark with only 2 outlets

The room was clean, comfortable, and seemed updated. We were pleasantly surprised for the price that we paid. The only negative was that the people above us seem to be running around or jumping around until 2 AM. We were on the middle floor so we could hear everything above us.
