How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

I don’t expect much from a low-priced hotel. But I do expect it to be clean. This hotel was a disaster! The toilet did not work, mold in the bathroom along with a dead fly, and a sticky, dirty floor. The parking not was not charming either.

The hotel was dated and badly needed an update, but we had reservation troubles elsewhere and wound up here. The room was musty, likely owing to a poorly functioning A/C unit. It pump cold air well enough, but said air was damp, like a wet sponge. The floors were filthy and there were layers of dust on many upper surfaces. While there was a place to hang garment, there were no hangers. The tub / shower seemed to have been retiled above an older, chipped tub with a rainfall shower head installed as if it were a regular shower head, completely defeating the purpose. The fridge ran cold but the freezer needed a complete defrost.

Verified reviewIt was close to where I needed to be at. Checking in and out was super quick. Breakfast was muffins, juice, and coffee. Bare minimum.
Checking with another party and requested to see if we could have the rooms as close as possible and said that was not possible due to not having any rooms close to each other. The first room, the door did not lock properly. It would lock but not close all the way unless it was slammed shut a few times, making it a safety issue. Had them check it out. Looked at the lock itself and made a couple noises and claimed it was fixed, which it wasn't. Asked to move to another room and they made it difficult until we asked for refund. The next room- the bed was lop sided to when if I laid down I would eventually roll into the middle. The blanket had a significantly large hole in it- noticed it before I even got into bed, from what seemed to be from smoking. Switched that blanket from the previous room. In both rooms- one of the outlet that was by the bed doesn't work. Mentioned it but nothing. Wasn't connected properly. The was just for looks. The second room was actually right next door to our other party. What happen to not having any room close together???? No answer.

Verified reviewBed and pillows were comfortable, staff were nice, coffee in office. Police were just leaving when we arrived, who said everything was fine, they were taking care of a "problem"
The cleaning crew needs to pay attention to where hands touch: door jambs, door knobs, etc., spider webs; built-up dirt and dust on baseboards, behind bed, and night stands; walls need to be spot cleaned. Guests smoking pot out on the balcony and being very loud. Evidence of drug use in parking lot. 2 EMT crews were in the parking lot in the morning. :(

They have all the plugs (fridge, microwave, TV, and lights all together in 1 power surge and it kept making the power go out of the room. Couldn't charge phone all night. Bathroom door has a hole in it and it was taped up only.

Accomodations. Stayed last 2 nights in a room which door was not opening and and closing properly. I could not open the door in the am when I had to be at work. Called MGR and nobody answered the phone. He didn't seem too interested in helping me out. Very disappointed.

Verified reviewThe location was close to areas that I wanted to travel to, the bed itself was comfy but also strange that the mattress was on some sort of metal frame, the shower had hot water and good pressure.
The staff seemed like they didn’t care to tend to guests, I asked for an extra towel and was told that they didn’t have extra, the door did not properly close, there was space between the door and the frame so cold air was able to come in, it seemed like there were some shady people staying there as well, a man standing outside his room was trying to call over to me and my partner- he seemed to be drunk
