Very difficult to find. Woman chopping meat at the end of the alley daily. Owner in the property and domestic noise and cooking seeping up the stairs.

Balcony was good but sadly didn’t have a decent chair to sit on. Room was good and spacious. Glass door and the hall light being on didn’t help me sleeping.

Room is very small. Louder noise from back side of building. Stairs are steep.. very thin blanket was provided for cold weather.

The only thing good about the property is the location. Prime location

The owners was amazing they gave so many recommendations and checked up on us every day, they even let us use there phone to make an important call. They went above and beyond for us which made our stay even better. The bed was really comfy and room had a projector which you would watch Netflix and Disney on. Location was in a really good location.

It’s near to Hanoi old quarter. The place was neat and clean. Service was good.

I loved it, nothing bad

The property was amazing. Great location. Was a little confusing to find at first but I would definitely recommend booking this. Cozy feel to the room, nice balcony with scenic view.

Because it’s old town it’s a bit hectic but that may be the case for all of Hanoi!

Sun and his wife, I didn’t catch her name, are the hosts and they’re such lovely people! Very hospitable and always up for a chat. It’s a really good location in old quarter.

the bed had WORMS and they had to change us to another room which still felt dirty. The host didn’t care enough. Not a good stay. I don’t recommend this place.

There was lots of ants in the kitchen, it was not very clean and there was no water pressure in the shower and bathroom sink. We asked for help to fix it and they tried, but it didn’t help. The water pressure was good for the bathtub outside and in the kitchen sink.

Had a great balcony and was located in the Old Quarter walking distance to a lot of stuff.

Nothing special... The entrance is a bit weird but nothing to be bothered

I read a lot of mixed reviews here but I didn't have any problems. To be honest it was really good: perfect location, cleanness on the average, conformable soft mattress, hot water, plenty of space for luggage and very good communication with the host. There's even a little kitchen with fridge, freezer and kettle

Although the host was quick at responding the communication was very confusing. They started off by confirming the booking by messaging on booking.com and then asked to continue on whatsapp. I then received messages from two different people on whatsapp with check in details. I then got another message on booking.com saying they were fully booked and there was no room. I clarified with the person on whatsapp and this was incorrect. We had a late check in and the place was a little bit difficult to find in the dark and rain. Especially when the address on the booking doesn’t match the address on the check in details - no one had informed us of this change. We found the right property in the end but when I raised this with the host they advised I should have read the check in details more carefully which I should have but would’ve nice if that had told us as well. The room was clean but very small, only just about fitting the double bed, they even had to put the mirror in the hallway. Very thin windows therefore very noisy at night. Can get much nicer places in Hanoi for same price.

Host is quiet sympathic and there is hot water but that’s all…

Very bad homestay. The cleaning is pretty bad, and it is clearly impossible to sleep. We hear noises all night, and we are woken up in the morning by the owner who spits every 2 minutes, disgusting. There is also a woman who cuts meat downstairs from 6am, impossible to sleep!!! Not to mention that the mattress looks more like a wooden board. I do not recommend this homestay.

We booked here twice and on the second stay, we were in a different property of theirs, everything was great. If I had to pick one thing, it would be that the WiFi at the second property did not work very strongly.

The property was centrally located, in an alley (very safe) where the night market is situated but not close enough where the noise will disturb you. The family who run this are lovely people who also provide you with recommendations for food around the area. The place is as described and great if you want to be close all the spots and entertainment. Highly recommend!

Needs a better sign upon arrival but that’s a minor issue.

Where to start. The simplest thing I could say is it ticked all our boxes. Fantastic family. Superb size room. Air con. Location is the best. Shared bathroom was spot on. Could not have asked for better. Fantastic value for money. Thanks guys. We ll be back. ❤️

Very good stay in the old quarter of Hanoi. The owners are really nice and make us feel comfortable. The room and bathroom are clean.

We booked it because we read other reviews that said staff were so friendly but we only met the son and he was incredibly rude and unfriendly. We booked a double room with terrace but we could hardly get on to the terrace because it was filled with laundry. We knew it was a shared bathroom but it was not clean and the lock didn’t work. The bed was so hard, both me and my boyfriend had really sore backs the next day. When we decided to leave after the first night we were charged extra than we had confirmed to pay on booking.com. Really would not recommend there are so many nicer homestays in Hanoi.

This property is in a great location.
