Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

VietnamEverytime we came to the room we had to walk through the living room and a member of the family was sleeping there. They always was very strict about keeping quite.
The place is clean cheap and very close to the center of Hoi an 10 min walk. They have a very nice laundry service. The room for 3 had one big bed and another single bed. The shower was big.

NetherlandsThey have a noisy water pump which gets switched off at night so you can sleep. However, it does get switched back on at 05:30am in the morning, the sound wakes you up for an early start of the day.
Very warm, friendly and helpful family. Great place to stay if you are on a budget. It's only a 10 minute walk to the old center. There are a lot of good restaurants right around the corner.

New ZealandUnfortunately our bathroom had seen better days and just needed a really good scrub. Also there were some old stains on our bedding. But for the price we paid we didn’t complain
Great location for exploring the old town and also good for the beach area - we cycled from the property. Van and her family are so welcoming and kind - they will help with anything and have great recommendations. They even did our laundry which came back smelling so fresh! The vegetarian restaurant a few minutes down the street is also worth stopping at if that’s your thing. Delicious!

GreeceThe owner charged us for early check in and the room was not already cleaned when we entered. Also, she sold us tickets for the coconut village for the lowest price as she told us, but when we got there, the price was lower than what we had paid.
The location was good, near the center of the city

ItalyIn the room there are few botte of water, usually is always free at least 2 small water. So we drink it. When we did the check out they charged extra 7000 dong for one water. When we say that we thought it was free they started to shout at us. I just suggest to put a bigger label with the rules. This is not hospitality, im sorry, you can not shout at people just for one suggestion.
The room was clean and good. Also they provide towels, shampoo and body wash. Position is great

United KingdomEverything! Turned up to a locked gate to show my booking. A man came outside and sent me on my way…. I thought I had the wrong address. After confirming the adress I went back for the man to show me the way out again. Then a woman came and told my they’d oversold and there was no room for me and my partner, at 11pm. Then, to make it worse, they tried telling booking.com I didn’t turn up so they could claim the money. Reported, avoid, awful

KazakhstanI liked everything. Carpet in the bedroom floor and hallway would be much appreciated as home has NO SHOE INSIDE policy and tile floor was very cold.
What was good in Hoi An Viet House Homestay: - fantastic location: 5-10 minutes of walking distance to Old town and sightseeing places, massage salons, shops, cafés, pharmacy and ATM was 1-5 minutes of walking distance from homestay - clean bed with towel and extra blanket have been provided - there was air conditioner and window in my room - free wi-fi internet worked very well - shared electric kettle is in the hallway - shared bathroom with toilet and shower for one person use only - they have own café, if I understood correctly from seeing tables and chairs in front of the house - homestay is the same as in booking.com pictures - homestay team (aunties and uncle) can organize sightseeing tours, bus and train tickets for travelers. I bought my bus ticket to Phan Thiet from them. Interesting nuance in Hoi An Viet House Homestay: - I couldn’t lock bathroom door while I was using toilet or taking shower. Door lock didn't work. Bathroom door is made of frosted glass and I assume you can see silhouette of the person in the shower/toilet. But it didn't bother me at all. Overall, if you are not picky and want to be close to the Old town, this is a good place to stay.
