Velká Británie8 hodnocení„Dirty“The place is dirty, hasn't been cleaned for a very long time, we had random people walking into the apartment while we stayed, there's no key for us to lock the room, limited privacy. There's a massive hole in the ceiling and moldy walls and floor in the bathroom, not to mention spits on the mirror. Dust is everywhere, a lot of dust layers after layers of dust. Floor dusty, fridge dusty. We were asked to pay extra when we showed how dirty the apartment was. The lady told us that the apartment was dirty because we stayed 3 nights. When we arrived we were simply too tired to go to another place even though we disliked the apartment from the moment we stepped in. The pictures of the apartment are far away from the reality. Unfinished renovation, at night the tv was turning itself on multiple times. There's a kettle on the floor, no table, no cups. We weren't given any instruction on how to get to the place, when we arrived tired and late in the evening, there was no one, we didn't know where to go, at the ground floor there's a kitchen of another place and you have to walk behind it to find the elevator which was not mentioned on the booking confirmation. We had to message the owner and wait for someone to arrive, they looked high and very unprofessional, photos of our passports were taken multiple times and later we received another request to send photos of our passports again in the middle of the night.
Only the location is good.

It was my first encounter with the notoriously awful customer service that many Southerners say is indicative of people up north. I arrived to the location, on top of a Banh Mi restaurant (with an angry looking employee). The customer service team was completely unresponsive to my calls and texts. Due to the awkwardness of being alone with an angry restaurant employee, I did not feel comfortable waiting in the restaurant. I had to leave and go somewhere else--during a thunderstorm. I then get a message telling me to go to a property at a different location. I immediately thought that it was a SCAM. A few of these scams exist in Saigon. I gave up, and found a property in a similar price range. I thoroughly enjoyed that apt.
While the location is excellent-- there are several food options within meters of the property, the high rating for this, and many other properties in Hanoi, is very questionable. Maybe it is a positive that I was offered a free night at the hotel after my horrible experience, but when I attempted to take advantage of the free night--once again, no response.
