There is nothing to fault

We had such a lovely stay! The house was spotless, spacious, and had everything we could possibly need (and more). The beds were so comfortable with crisp white bedding, the shower was fantastic, and the beautiful big fireplace made it extra cozy with plenty of space to relax. The large garden was a real bonus too. The location is perfect—just a short walk to shops and restaurants, yet tucked away enough to enjoy peace and quiet. We’ll definitely be back!

I just didn't like that the on-suite bathroom doors had built in windows in. This doesn't give you much privacy. Also, there is a big cloth-like draping hanging from the upper wall in the living room that just doesn't seem very tastful when it comes to the decor.

This house is beautiful and roomy, inside and out. All of the beds are also large and comfortable, with heating blankets (a must in Dullstroom). I liked that the car parking area was hidden from view from the main road by the gate. We weren't told that a housekeeper was coming during our stay, but it was much welcomed. Overall, I would 100% stay here again if I were traveling with a large group/family.

Alarm system and price

The house was well equipped, spacious and in a good position. The pricing was a bit steep for a weekend and the access in and out of the property with the alarm system was a bit frustrating. It kept going off and alerting the security company.

Did not feel homely and cosy. Kitchen cupboards feel empty - not enough basics to dish up food. No steak knives… Please clean the dishwasher filter - nasty smell. Lack of cupboards in the bedrooms? Nowhere to unpack or hang clothes. Strange draping in the lounge hanging on the wall is a bug trap! Lots of extra fees that were not clearly visible on the first booking page - please incorporate from the beginning. Why is it not part of the “quote” on the landing page? R1500 security deposit only to be paid back after 7-10 days? Surely it can be fast tracked…

It was fairly clean and the location is not bad, close enough to town. The building itself is fine and has potential.

House was not properly cleaned No curtains in the bathrooms Battled with hot water in 1 shower No proper sharp knives to use in the kitchen Shower drains were clogged and not clean Wifi was of no use. No signal Not all bedrooms had cupboards The owners can spend some money on curtains. Nice house and then the curtains are either too long or too short and the not closing up windows properly. Not all beds have headboards For the price you pay per night we felt the above and be addressed.

A couple of items for improvement: 1. The instructions on disarming the alarm system is incorrect and creates confusion 2. There are no BIC’s or any cupboards to hang you clothes in two of the rooms 3. The furniture in the TV room is not up to standard 4. The sharing of the bathroom with the clear glass door is inconvenient 5. There should be instructions on how to operate the oven

Lovely beds and linen. Luxurious carpets in bedrooms. Open/connected area of kitchen and lounge promotes socialising while people are preparing food. Liked the heaters in the one bathroom - a real treat! Bathrooms are very well appointed. Outside area with gas heater and gas braai was well enjoyed by all. Well equipped property - thank you!

Asked for a wood braai, it was old and rusty had to borrow a grid as he one provided was awful. The towels were damp when we arrived and were never hung out to dry, so after 3 days they smelt miff . The instructions for the alarm was incorrect, the helper eventually showed us how to use the remote. The gate didn't work properly, I had to give the remote for the gate to the helper as she could not get in, the alarm people reset the remote. The outside table was never cleaned, we had to do it.

Extremly dirty, bad housekeeping, some facilities don't work. Had a bad experience and would not return back. I would recommend you look for other places, after numerous complaints to the owner the problems were still not resolved. Very very disappointing

The 1500 rands breakage deposit was not paid in advance due to short booking notice. However, upon arrival, we were nagged for these monies incessantly every 5 minutes which I found most annoying. We certainly were not going to run away and forego 2 nights accommodation non-refundable money for the sake of not paying 1500 rands, so the harassment upon arrival was illogical. We would have liked to have unpacked first, and then driven into town and paid the deposit at our convenience, so I feel that the "customer first" principle was destroyed.

Self catering. Area was quiet and near town so we felt fairly safe. We accidentally set off the panic alarm and the response time was reasonable. The quality of the Kitchenware and cutlery were of the finest quality. Even the glasses were chic and expensive.
