The high dining table and it would be nice to make the property more accessible for elderly or mobility restricted people ie add grab rails in bathroom on ground floor, level floor shower, ramp at the stair by the bbq, path to lapa. The big bath is a space waster as water shortages are constant here.

Fantastic for a group as each bedroom has its own bathroom. Four bedrooms have king size beds (2 single bases, one top mattress). So you can spread out. Aircon works well. The exciting adventure room with 2 single beds has fresh air and open feel but still has protection from mosquitoes (not many in August). Upstairs TV room and small table was good for working on or quieter times away from the crowd. Huge dining table (it’s a bit high though… but you get used to eating near your chin :-)) and options outside for group seating and dining. Anneliese (manager) is amazing and quick to offer suggestions for dining, game viewing and sorting out any maintenance requirements. Thank you again Anneliese! Decor is reflective of African context. Layout of house, kitchen, 2 fridges, gas cooker, washing machine and dishwasher really makes it easy to stay here for a big group and for a few days. We will definitely rebook this if we come back.

Property could have been cleaned a bit better, the septic tank cover is broken and gave off a awful smell in the braai area where we were sitting most of the time

There were some hot water issues that were resolved quickly by the venue manager.

The house has an excellent location in Marloth Park, which is close to amenities. We loved the boma area that is close to the pool. Many animals visited us while we were relaxing in the evenings.

One of the rooms is a screened-in porch. It's cool at night in autumn, but Annelies gave us a warm blanket. It would have been great there in December.

I am very grateful to Monica and Peter for arranging a great place to stay. The manager of the house, Annelies, and her husband, Jaap, were very attentive to us. We arrived in Marloth for an educational biological practice with a group of schoolchildren and did not have our own transport. Annelies almost immediately complied with our requests to buy some of the things we needed for life, and Jaap brought them in his car. Annelies is incredibly kind and positive, she often helped us, exceeding the level of her official duties. For example, I needed to send a small package to colleagues from another part of South Africa, and Annelies fulfilled the request on the same day. There are many such examples. Annelies and Jaap brought us drinking water and ice for juices, which is important in hot weather on the day of our request. They fixed the filtration mechanism of the pool from the fallen autumn leaves that clogged it. Moreover, Annelies did all the work very quickly and efficiently. She recommended interesting places to visit in Marloth, bird watching point. The house is very comfortable, equipped with everything you need. An important convenience factor is the uninterrupted supply of electricity. In Marloth, the lights are turned off daily, so the owners have made sure that customers do not suffer from this. It was very important for us. There are few such houses in the village. I would really like to return to this wonderful Adventure house in the bush, which is maintained by Monica and Peter, with whom communication has always been quick. Many animals come to the house, you can feed warthogs, zebras, kudus, bushbucks, impalas and wildebeest. Vervets and mongooses run nearby, galago jump in the evenings. Birds sing in the morning, shrikes, tree hoopoes, paradise flycatchers, drongos, rhinoceros birds, turaco and many others fly. Besides acacias, there are many beautiful plants near the house.

Nothing to complain about wish we could stay longer.

Wowwww!!!! We love every single moment. This house is gorgeous and we had a lot of furry friends visiting us on a daily basis. A must for all to see and experience.

The pool, it was dirty, and we couldn't use it.

It's a beautiful home. Lots of activities, it's a small friendly community, Annelies(facilities manager)she was very helpful. We were welcomed by our friendly animal hosts ( Impala, zebra,wildebeest,kudu, and warthog) who check-in time and again😌 Guards at the gate are very helpful with direction and recommendations for self drive tour. I loved it💕

The middle bedroom upstairs with net and wire was too hot the fan didn't do much justice in the heat wave maybe change it to glass and install aircon.

Everything was perfect, Spacious rooms with aircon great space in Lapa for entertainment.The house is well equipt and service from Annelise was excellent

We had a few issues with the showers, could not get the temperature right in any of the showers.

The property is absolutely breath taking. We saw animals every day. The house itself is beautiful. In love with this house and everything it entails.

The loft room with the single beds could, in my opinion, do with making the en suite toilet and shower less open for privacy and some curtains/blinds would help with cold temps at night in winter. The occassional wafts from septic tank may need a look at

Loved the daily visits by kudus, warthog, zebras, wildebeest, a gorgeous bush baby, and an unexpected monitor lizard that decided that the thatch roof was a great place to live in. Thank you to Wimpie and Monica who organized his quick capture and relocation and the house clean up. It all added to Our Bush Adventure. The house was comfortable and well equipped , particularly the downstairs areas and the en suite bathrooms and aircons in each room was great. Once the top thatch is finished it will look fantastic. Hope the animals haven't eaten all the thatching by then :) . The dish washer and washing machine were appreciated too. Perhaps a clothes drying rack could be added though. All in all, we loved our stay and would certainly return.

Everything was exceptional. The swimming pool, setup of the bedrooms and dinning, air-conditioning and of course the cleanliness.

We had lot of issues with electricity Friday and Saturday it was on and off the entire day then Sunday was much better then invector was not working Wimpie came to check it and really confirmed that is not working and said he will send technician and it never came, no electricity no Wifi and the top bedroom with wires and net, the wire net is torn big time it needs to be replaced

House very clean and welcoming, we enjoyed everything about the house, it's beautiful as well , kids really enjoyed themselves, seeing our everyday visitors animals that was exceptional wonderful except pool is small Your service as well is good.
