The house is very cold so we lit the fire in the lounge and the chimney may need cleaning but it was VERY smokey! We would have loved a small bit of FRESH milk in the fridge - or even just a small long life box - Cremora is a bit dismal given the quality of the rest of the house. Lovely glasses, nice to find ice ready made as well

The beds. I'm afraid not one of us slept well as a result of the beds. The pillows need to be replaced and the mattresses are extremely hard. All three guests had the same experience.

Wonderful location, loved the house and would've loved to have been there longer to get a better sense of the facilities!

There were dirty dishes from the previous tenant in the dishwasher so it had mould etc. Perhaps fish in the dam, and less weeds, so we could fish and not have to go out

It's big and spacious. Loved that it has a dishwasher, griller. Love the dams, ducks. Quiet and still. Peaceful. Secure Loved that it has Hot water too :) Plenty games :)

Soap and shampoo were in short supply. Could have had oil, salt and pepper in the kitchen. The sherry was a very nice touch

The location was great, the ducks and the duck ponds were superb, very relaxing sitting on the covered porch and just watching the ducks

This property has no electric blankets in the kiddies room. Fireplace needs attention and to think I had seen this review before but figured it must have been sorted. Smoke escapes throughout the house from the fireplace. I know Dullstroom is “safe” but it would be nice to have a night security just for guests peace of mind. When you get to a house and find an alarm it means there are concerns but when the same house does not offer the same alarm for guests it means guests are the security? I was not comfortable with that.

This property is amazing from outside to inside. Love the duck pond.

The property itself was great but we found there to be very little communication from the team. There was no check-in instructions or pre booking communication at all. We found a lack of attention to detail which let down the stay. Some the negatives included the beds being rock hard, no working internet, non existent checking procedure and a lack of wood in the fire place over a cold weekend. Combined these all gave an impression that there was a general lack of care for our stay.

The property had a lovely setting and the unit is great with a lot of space, character and amenities.

Even though that magnificent house needs a little tlc, we still loved it.

We loved the house and the setting in the lovely grounds. The ponds and ducks were beautiful. Perfect for a family stay.

Picture of house on booking.com not the same as the house we got. No communication until we arrived to get the key from another location. Guard at gate could not understand Afrikaans nor English. Fireplace in living room gave off a lot of smoke and everything in the house smelled like smoke for the two days we were there. Fireplace needs attention

The lighting is very poor. The main bathroom light is extremely dull. The main bedroom has a mirror but also no light near the mirror. Also no plug point near the mirror. This makes doing your hair or makeup a challenge. The property indicated a TV but there was no TV.

Lovely property. Spacious and clean. Enjoyed the fireplace.

Was not aware that keys had to be collected elsewhere before arriving at the property. Don't believe it was good value for money. There was still cutlery in the dishwasher and items in the bedroom, packaging on the floor that I assume was left by previous guests.

Beautiful setting with the houses set around the dam. Great location for walking into town.

Zero staff interaction. We struggled to get keys and get in. Mobile Number on the gate is from owner who sold ten years ago. Collected keys from a pub down the road and were handed to us without one word. No explanation re alarm system.Nobody to explain amenities that have lots of quirks/ not working. The place could be fantastic but is somewhat dated and needs some care and maintenance. Not enough drinking tumblers, only lots of wine and whiskey glasses. Electric heating broken/ inadequate/ dangerous. Chimney from fireplace fills house with smoke. Impossible to heat the huge place with only one smokey fire. The weekend was freezing and uncomfortable. Door lock broken and cannot lock properly making it very unsafe.

The toilet facilities àre too tight or narrow, especially in the main room. Some cupboards in the kitchen were dirty, and the kettle looked dirty and could not use it. Lighting a bit dull.

The house is very comfortable, well appointed with many homely finishes.the beds are all very comfortable too. We loved playing games on the patio, which is quiet and has a wonderful view of the water with the geese. We loved sitting in the lounge enjoying the fireplace at night.

The wifi didn’t work and after multiple attempts to get a solution from the host, still no luck. The host wasn’t that helpful.

The bedrooms were comfortable. Great location and beautiful property.
