Took my kids for a fishing trip to Dullstroom, and this was the perfect place for that. They caught great fish, and the manager went out of his way to help us. It’s a close drive to Dullstroom town where there are a lot of nice places to eat and shop, and the grounds of this property have beautiful game and bird life. We spent our days having fun and our evenings relaxing by the fire. Would highly recommend

The cottage is well-equipped, the fireplace(s) were awesome as the weather was cold. Kobus also managed to supply us with extra bags of wood, big bags at that.

When booking via booking.com, contact the venue directly to get details on how to check in. They don't proactively send it to you. We stayed in the cottage. It has a beautiful view and is very comfortable sleeping six (2 children in bunk beds). You probably won't be doing a lot of hardcore cooking, but there are enough utensils (plates, wine glasses etc). They did suppl sachets of coffee/ tea/ sugar. Also sufficient firewood is available but you can buy more at a reasonable price. The lapa was a huge hit - well kitted and protected from wind for a braai. You can make a lovely fire at the fire pit. And we didn't have to pay extra. There is a nice, well lit tennis court and a trampoline. The views are just unbeatable and Kobus was an amazing host. The cottage is also serviced. Signal isn't great but there is wifi though wifi didn't work for my laptop. I suggest a larger SUV with clearance as theres a good amount of gravel/ dirt road. Esp if you travel it at night and its misty - the drive to town is approx 20 mins but longer if night and unfamiliar with the road. Completely relaxing, well kitted out and clean.

The unit is set in a beautiful, quiet and scenic game farm with several trout dams nearby. The fireplaces keep you nice and toasty at night and the surprise bonus was a trampoline and some playground equipment with our two young boys loved. Not to mention the game and horses that come up almost to the fence.

The outside braai and stoep area was not very clean. There was some broken furniture on the stoep. For the rest we had a great experience.

Very well equipped kitchen. Lovely setting. Excellent property for a family especially with small kids. Lovely gardens with beautiful surroundings. We were able to fish and go on self drive game drives.

Nothing wrong, except hundreds of gnats as soon as the sun sets. We suggest that screen doors/ fly screens be installed.

Beautiful location, lovely cottage and helpful, friendly staff. . Kobus and Ewert were so kind and helpful and addressed all our needs and requests.

The venue was quiet and relaxing, a good and much needed break away. We loved the horses roaming around and other game on the property.

Only complaint advertised as a trout lodge but no trout in dams on farm. But Werner was great an arranged entrance into Elandskloof for trout but would have been nice if on the property.

Everything - very homely with every comfort required. Loved riding around on the farm and looking at the animals - absolutely stunning. Patting the horses was a treat. All in all is great.

Our stay Dullstroom Manor Game & Trout Lodge was perfect, being out of town and in the countryside we had wonderful views all round, plus a very large garden to wander around with ponds (dams in South Africa). The farm / manor land was large enough to drive around to see their wild collection. Offering horse riding and tennis courts just ask. We were about 15min from Dullstroom and 10min from the raptor rescue centre (well worth a visit if your there). The house was more than we needed really, with balcony/ patio, well equipped kitchen, Netflix tv and play station, Bath and Shower all en-suite. Thoroughly recommend.

I couldn't open the doors was not easy to open .

The house is big enough and offers everything you need . Every bedroom with a tv and wifi that to me that was great. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything.

Named game and trout lodge but no trout in dams. They have an arrangement to fish on the neighboring farm. This didn't affect us as we did not intend fishing, but felt it was a bit misleading had we intended to. One of the attractions would be to be able to fish where you are staying.

Very friendly and helpful host. He went out of his way to arrange for us to watch the WC final. Nice surrounds. Game on farm and self drive possible. Horses in paddock also add to relaxed atmosphere. Kitchen well equipped. Close enough to Dullstroom for visits while still being private and secluded.

The house is very spacious, and the kitchen is one of the best equipped kitchens I've seen in a long time. We loved the place and the manager is really nice.

I would have preferred a better braai facility, but that is not a deal breaker

Our host, Lafras, was just amazing. He made us feel at home and communicated very well about the facilities and how to optimise our time. The accommodation is clearly part of the shed that was transformed into a living unit, but it was beautifully done. Since it was a very cold weekend, we really enjoyed the two fire places in the unit.

Just a pity the dams on property are not stocked with trout, but we did get the gate code to go fish on Elandskloof Trout Farm.

Beautiful, well-equipped home with a very friendly host. A lot of game and horses of the farm. Very child-friendly!

Loved Lafra, lovely attentive host. Oh gosh loved the horses too. Lovely detailed details in the farmhouse. Wonderfully the pictures are an accurate description and setup of the property.
