The fridge was too small for 4 persons.

The chalet is spacious, comfortable and suitably furnished and very well situated at the dam. The kitchen area is spacious enough and the bath room is fine.

There was not anything to complain about really, the stay was nice and comfortable, the sink in the kitchen did not have a plug to suit the sink for dishes to be washed.

I stayed in cottage no1, really nice view of the dam and mountain. will stay in cottage 1 again for this reason.there was no breakfast, I was not aware that there was a breakfast. I stopped at reception for the key, was told the key is in the door. I was not told that there was free wifi or given the wifi password.

It was icy cold, duvet was more like a thin flat sheet than a actual duvet, if we didn't took extra bedding of our trip, we would have freezed. Newe duvets will be nice upgrade. No communication before our arrival time. I tried to make contact via booking.com messenger, via email and via telephone, eventually via whatsapp I got a message with our unit number and where the key will be. Got there, unit was locked. Phoned numerous times for assistance as we could not get in. No answer. Eventually drove to the office/restaurant to get assistance. Guy got there, didn't have a spare key. Needed to change our unit, as there was already guests in our unit. No extra bedding for the sleeper couch, needed to request, no toilet paper in unit, needed to request. But for the price we had a overall nice stay!! And the employees did assist with everything.

I'm not complaining, as I did notice some maintenance being done to the houses. The houses are old, and some door latches were not working well, and a few minor things that can be looked at. We rented No1,2 and 3 houses, but No 2 was the only one of which the shower was working well. All had nice hot water, but No 1 & 3 had no water pressure, Just a little bit of water was coming out the shower head.

The location is stunning, the views, the animals, the dam and even the occasional train passing just gave the venue a good atmosphere. The houses are comfortable and spacious.

The chalet needs some tlc and brighter lights in the bathroom.

The beds provided were not as shown in the pictures. There were supposed to be 2 twin beds in the lounge, but these were actually sleeper couches - one with a very thin mattress. Only one roll of toilet paper was provided and hardly any dishwashing liquid. We had to make the fire in the fireplace ourselves - it would have been great if the staff had prepared the fireplace prior to our arrival. The carpets need cleaning and the chalet needs a fresh coat of paint.

The location was stunning! Our chalet was on the edge of a beautiful dam, with horses roaming freely. There were also lovely trails to walk and we felt very safe. The staff were friendly and polite. Also great that the accommodation is only 1.6km from the middle of town!

Excellent location and value for money. Ideal fishing facility and fantastic place to unwind and relax in nature, yet close enough to enjoy the restaurants and shops.

We ever stay there before, we can choose the free room.. but for the second The staff not friendly, we can't choose the challet even the challet is free. We just want got the close from the dam. They said there somebody already book but the fact no one there.. so sad...why they keep the room like that.

Didnt catch any fish, even though I tried several times. Nobody caught anything. Disappointing.

Spacious grounds, lovely day, great mountain for hiking. But disappointing fly fishing. Nobody caught anything. Chalets are well appointed. Grounds are well maintained. Will stay again.

The bedding was not as in the photo’s. There were clean bedsheets on the bed, but the duvet, pillow cases and blankets were dirty. We asked for extra blankets, which they brought immediately, but these were old and one even had a hole burnt into it. Take your own bedding along. Other than that, it was a good place for fishing and family time.

Lovely location. Houses next to the water, which makes it very convenient. Able to hike, good trail. They do park runs around the dam on Saturdays, so bring your running shoes along. Horse rides available. Clean water. Canoes available. Friendly and helpful reception. Houses are practical, have utensils, microwave, stove, kettle, etc. Bonus was the fireplace. It gets really cold at night. Thank you for a good weekend.

The beds were awful - They could use an update, up price by R100 per night but add new beds. Little bit of an update and you charge double.

The ceiling leaked whilst raining in cottage No 3 and we didn't have enough bowls for our children. Some lights/bulbs in cottage 1 did not work

Everything was good.

Very comfortable cottage on the dam. Honestly, it's great value for money. We had our own indoors fireplace, built in braai overlooking the dam, as well as another braai with a table outside. The kitchen is small, but it has everything you need. They even put out some coffee and tea for you. For what we paid, really can't fault anything. Located very close to town centre.
