Lovely owners who simply can’t do enough for their guests. Very luxurious rooms with balcony and fabulous views. Situated close to the Knysna marina etc. Superb breakfast. Highly recommended.

Absolutely nothing.

The view is magnificent, the photos don't do enough justice. The night sky is magical from the balcony. The owners, Ella and Ricardo are absolutely lovely. They were very welcoming, they made us feel at home. The place is very clean, and have all the amenities you need. The breakfast is healthy and delicious. Ella's homemade granola and blueberry muffins were the bomb! We will definitely go back and recommend this place to our family and friends.

The location was very accessible from the main road, and after a slight incline up the mountain, the view opened up and was spectacular. Easy drive to the local town, which has all the amenities one might require. Once inside the owners were incredibly welcoming and we immediately felt at home. We had two rooms, a double and a twin. The interior design was calm, with some great personal touches by the owners. Great towels, bed linen and the warmest of dressing gowns. Tea, coffee and water in the rooms and incredible views. Be prepared for a home made breakfast, with which you won't be disappointed. Thank you, Ella and Ricardo, we wish you every success. We will definitely be back. The Spooner family

The location and views were perfect and amazing. Ricardo and Ella are amazing, warm, helpful and friendly hosts. The room was very spacious for the two of us and comfortable and so were all the facilities in the room. We also thoroughly enjoyed the home cooked breakfast. The guest house is within a 20 min walk from the waterfront and a 5 min Uber from Thesen Island. We would highly recommend this place to anyone wishing to stay in Knysna and would certainly choose The Lazy Lion the next time we are in Knysna

What can I tell, from the moment we were welcomed by the host Ricardo we felt welcome. After check-in we also met Ella. They are both so welcoming and friendly and warm. You wouldn't know they are doing this for just nearly a year, so good are they. Breakfast is very good and complete, nothing to say about this. No question is to much form them, giving you information about must see posts, surrounding area's or restaurants to visit. Rooms are very clean & luxurious (bath, shower) They even put the fireplace on for us to enjoy in the guest livingroom. I would definitely recommend the Lazy Lion and we will definitely come back. Great room and very friendly hosts. The room had a wonderful view. The room was furnished with great attention to detail. We couldn't imagine how it could be any better. It was all great.

We were in SA for 12 days and the bed we had here was the best by far. So comfortable! Ella and Ricardo were incredibly welcoming and friendly and couldn't have been more hospitable. I would definitely recommend the Lazy Lion.

We stayed at Lazy Lion for two nights. The setup was really comfortable and the host made it an incredible experience. They shared their insights on Knysna and South Africa and helped us refine our itenary for better. Interior was very interesting and the room was perfect with an amazing view of “Two Heads”. We loved our morning and evening teas on the balcony. The Breakfast menu was thoughtful of our vegan lifestyle. My wife became a full fan of their home prepared granola.

There was nothing not to like.

We had such a fantastic stay at The Lazy Lion Guest House in Knysna. Ella and Ricardo were so friendly and welcoming — they really went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The rooms were extremely clean, spacious and cosy, with the most beautiful views from the bedrooms — such a peaceful spot to wake up in the mornings. Breakfast was a real treat every day. Ella’s homemade granola was delicious, and you can tell how much care goes into all the little details. It was honestly one of the loveliest places we’ve stayed in — a great mix of comfort, warm hospitality and stunning surroundings. Highly recommended if you're visiting Knysna!

What didn’t we like! It is the place to go if you are in the area. The views, the fabulous breakfast, the comfortable bed, the great hosts and very capable staff, it was the perfect end to our holiday in South Africa. It was so good we stayed an extra night.

Breakfast was delicious, the effort and thoughtfulness that went into preparing breakfast was amazing and always served with a great smile. The atmosphere was always warm and welcoming. The hosts and staff were friendly at all times and truly went out of their way to make sure the stay was enjoyable.
