Couldn't access TV channels so missed out on the rugby game but really not an issue when you have a gorgeous view to enjoy instead.

The most magnificent views of Table mountain & Robin island from the rooms - was so thankful for the upgrade!! Comfy beds, clean house, helpful & friendly host who makes one delicious breakfast! And a super awesome furry receptionist!

Brian was a superb host - and made us feel so welcome. The rooms were very spacious and neat, and we were even offered the choice to move to a room with a better view of the ocean. We had a delicious breakfast spread and I was allowed to shower after my running event which I really appreciated! One of the neighbours held a very noisy party (without informing anyone) which disturbed our peace and sleep, but Brian was very accommodating about the situation. We will most definitely return!

We had a wonderful stay at Gull on the Bay Guesthouse. The house itself is absolutely beautiful and immaculately maintained. Our room was spotless, comfortable, and offered stunning views that we'll never forget. Our host, Brian, was incredibly friendly and accommodating throughout our stay. He made us feel right at home and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. Each morning, we were treated to a warm, homecooked breakfast made with care -such a thoughtful and personal start to the day. We also really enjoyed chatting with Brian-he was a great source of local knowledge and gave us some excellent recommendations for things to do around Cape Town, which we really appreciated. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend to anyone staying in the area!

This is an owner managed property with professional attention by and from the owner. He even makes a fantastic breakfast for each guest personally and the guest house still manages to feel very "private" too.

We had a fantastic stay at Gull on the Bay. The Beach suite has an amazing view of the ocean, Table Mountain, and Robben Island. Brian is a friendly and professional host, and he cooks a delicious breakfast every morning. He is very knowledgeable about the area and gives great restaurant and outing recommendations. I highly recommend Gull on the Bay.

Unfortunately we got the City Suite which didn’t have the best view of the beach and was on the road side of the property. A few minor issues with general updating needed for example lampshades and ceiling glass needed cleaning but nothing to put us off.

Brian was attentive and organised. The bed was big and super comfy, facilities were good with secure parking.

Brian is an amazing host, lovely views, spacious and comfortable room. Superb breakfast. Very quiet location.. Easy and cheap to get an Uber into central Cape Town but is 30 to 45 minute journey. Would love to return.

That we were only there for 1 night!! You do have to be careful how you wander around your bedroom if you don't use the blinds! Easily forgotten because shutting out the view is a 'no no'. I do hope the neighbours haven't complained.

A beautifully designed guest house with a bit of a wow factor. We had a suite which overlooked the bay and Table Mountain and included a small outside seating area to admire the view although the room is designed to maximise the outlook with clever use of lots of glass. Our host, Brian, was delightful. He's a great conversationalist and interested in his guests to ensure they enjoy their stay to the full. Cooked breakfast was the best of our 2 week road trip and we wished we weren't going home after just one night. Great value for money too. Thanks for everything Brian
