Nothing. The addition of a sitting area in our very spacious room would have been nice as we enjoy sitting and reading.

We had the great pleasure of being met and looked after by the owner Nicky. She was a perfect hostess. The accommodation was modern and immaculate and the breakfast was delicious. Wonderful staff, expertly trained. Excellent dinner recommendation.

A beautiful property in the middle of an orange plantation. Very safe, with parking right in front of the house, a lovely garden with a pool, and a nice seating area. We received a warm welcome and, as the only guests, we enjoyed many valuable tips and great conversations around the cozy fire. The breakfast was excellent. Unfortunately, we only stayed for one night – such a pity. Many thanks for the wonderful time with you!

We felt completely at home during our stay! Niki is such a warm and caring host—she made our time there truly special. The guesthouse itself was beautifully designed, very cozy, and full of charm. The outdoor area was perfect for relaxing between safaris—so peaceful and inviting. Niki took care of everything, from restaurant bookings to helpful tips. We couldn’t have asked for more and would come back in a heartbeat. Highly recommended to anyone staying near Addo!

Nothing not too like.

The hotel is a little gem in the Addo area. So close to the park as well as very good restuarant's and shops/supermarkets. The staff were fantastic and super friendly. we particularly loved the manicured gardens and beautiful swimming pool and braii area. Attention to detail in the rooms and little extra touches were very unexpected and appreciated.

Absolutely fabulous. The staff were fantastic and super helpful and friendly. The accommodation/rooms were super nice with lots of space. Lovely touches (sweet treats and bottled water supplied and help yourself honesty fridge for drinks). The pool was beautiful as were the large manicured grounds and lots of lawn games and the braai area. A short drive to Addo maingate and 5 mins from a modern shopping strip/Spar.

There was nothing we didn’t like, everything was perfect and we wouldn’t hesitate to return.

What a wonderful guest house in a beautiful garden. Our room was a generous size with good air conditioning and excellent security. The bed and pillows were comfortable, and the shower was wonderful, but what really makes this hotel special is the staff. We were greeted on the front steps when we arrived, helped with changing our booking at Addo Elephant Park and given lots of advice on where to eat. What to do etc.

The hospitality. Very helpful with information and making bookings for restaurants, etc, the room was extremely clean and tidy, the location was close to the main gate of The Addo National Reserve, the breakfast was delicious, the garden and pool was very tranquil and is a beautiful setting and the property itself is very safe and secure.

You arrive into your own safe world and one where nothing is too much trouble. Impressive lawned and manicured grounds where one can sit, swim, play bowls or croquet. Hopefield is absolutely a B & B to recommend.

Could not been better!

We had an amazing stay at Hopefield Guesthouse! The location is stunning, with a beautiful garden and a fantastic swimming pool that gets full sun all day. Our room opened up to the garden and was absolutely lovely, featuring a spacious, comfortable bed and a stylish shower. As the cherry on top, we got to enjoy a fantastic braai, which was perfectly organised by Hopefield. We brought our own meat and fish, and they took care of the rest – an unforgettable experience! A huge thank you to Nicky and the entire team for making our stay so special. We highly recommend spending a few days here when visiting Addo – you won’t regret it! Bart & Kathy

Fabulous property, kept in immaculate condition, Lisa and myself stayed for 2 nights whilst we did safari in Addo Elephant Game Reserve, the location was perfect 15 minutes drive from the gates, set in beautiful gardens. The staff were amazing, couldn’t do enough for us and our host Nicky was the most thoughtful and obliging lady that you could wish to meet! If you are visiting Addo please stay here to experience it’s beauty and ambience!🙂👍

Great place to stay, with beautiful grounds to enjoy the Addo area. Super friendly team who could not do enough to assist us during our stay. The rooms are spacious and very well furnished and have all you need for a relaxing stay in the middle of the Addo. Breakfast was very tasty and had a number of cooked choices aswell as cereals, juices, fruit, teas, coffee and yoghurt etc. On one of the days we had an early trip booked and the team kindly made up a packed breakfast for us to enjoy given the early start we needed to make. Could not fault the stay at all and our family group of 4 all enjoyed the stay immensely. If you are considering a place to stay, don't hesitate, you will not he disappointed.

Michael, naš domaćin je vrlo susretljiv i ljubazan. Pomogao nam je oko naših pitanja vezanih uz Addo, rezervacija restorana i svega ostalog. Lokacija je odlična, 20-ak minuta vožnje do Addo parka. Parking je osiguran, čitavo imanje je zaštićeno. Soba je vrlo čista i udobna, odlično opskrbljena. Doručak ukusan i svježe pripremljen. Hvala i Sharon i ostaloj ekipi na svemu :)

We had a wonderful stay at Hopefield Guesthouse. The place is very close (and safe!) to Addo, the rooms are big and the breakfast was great! The entire staff (host Michael and his team) was very helpful and made our stay unforgettable. The lounge with the fridge and cold drinks and also the garden/pool area are very comfortable and good to relax. We definitely want to come back!
