Wild animals on the doorstep. Hot water from the gas geyser was dangerously hot.

The shower water was either boiling hot or cold, so we weren't able to have a constant temp. The shower head in the main bedroom bathroom is leaking so water sprayed everywhere. We used a face cloth to stop that.

We loved the pool, deck and fire pit area. It's a quite place that is well looked after. We were so happy to see so many animals visiting us. Loved having aircons in the bedrooms, helped a lot with the heat.

Everything was perfect.

The place was perfect for what we needed,everything was perfect in order. I will definitely become a more frequent visitor. The animals that comes to the doorstep were just such a blessing and highlight for me.

Very dirty. Spider webs and dead insects in almost all the rooms. Very dusty. Definitely not cleaned prior to our arrival. No water for the majority of our days there. We could only shower and get any water from taps on our last day there. No tupperware/plastic containers or anything to store leftovers/serve the kids(toddlers) food.

Lovely area and unit. Stayed there for the second time but really an unpleasant experience(again).

everything was good. the house was comfortable and cool during hot days, we were walking distance from the river. walks to the river almost always coincided with animals along the way

You need to put more than 1 toilet papers or inform your people before checking in to bring along theirs, no iron,the DVD player must change it to Bluetooth and your upper beds please try to put a ladder for alternative because the wooden is too slippery especially for us who drink we were struggling to go up and down to pee at night🤣 .

The location was excellent not far from the shops , , the house was good and the stuff were friendly, fast response with the securities and the animals viewing near the house never gave us problems.i can book again.

Pool was green and stayed green despite the maintenance people attending to it. As we deliberately chose accommodation based on having a pool, this was a massive letdown. Bed was very hard and not comfortable - very small for 2 adults. Gas geyser gave about a minute of scalding hot water and then just cold water, even after changing the active bottle (we also have a gas geyser at home and our temperature is constant) - we did not have one warm shower for our entire stay. Water pressure in the shower was very low. The air conditioner was spraying drops of water over us while we slept. Pool was very loud and almost constantly on, which detracted from the peace of the bushveld- does it need to be on that long, when it doesn't seem to be actually cleaning the pool? Railing on stoep is coming loose and needs maintenance. Chairs on stoep are all breaking and need to be replaced. A sun lounger or 2 would be most welcome. Labourers seem to use the property as a shortcut from the adjacent road, which was unexpected. Alarm key fob didn't work and wasn't sorted while we were there, leaving us without a panic button if we needed it.

Place was clean. Kitchen was well laid out. Happy there was a double sink! Location was good. With the bushveld so green and thick, it felt pretty private despite being on a busy section of road. This was our 5th stay in Marloth, and as always, seeing the animals roaming close by was a treat. Hosts were quick to respond on WhatsApp and were very friendly.

Upon arrival we were greeted with an intrusion of cockroaches. They just kept pealing out everywhere. Both rooms mattresses are finished and do not sleep well. The mattresses can be replaced with new ones in future. Both the geysers did not work when we arrived and we had to take cold showers. After arranging with the host, they came to fix and replace the gas. It was confirmed that the main rooms geyser was faulty. The second night, after replacing the gas for the geyser the morning, we still had a cold shower. We were to digusted to use the crockery provided, because of the roaches everywhere. After communication with the host about the roaches , the first evening, they brought us roach traps. We booked and paid for 4 nights, but after the intrusion of roaches and cold showers we could not stay there anymore and left after 2 nights. I asked the host for our money back for the remaining 2 nights, as we needed to book other accomodation elsewhere. In the message from the host they send back to us, they told us that they would consider our request for repayment. A week went by and lots of messages later and we are still awaiting an answer from the host regarding the repayment. I would NOT recommend this accomodation to anyone in this condition. If all points are given attention to I would reconsider booking a stay there again.

Main bedroom did not have Hot Water we all had to use the small bathroom, fridge did not make cold and got new Fridge 2 days later. Swimming pool was very dirty.

We didn't have any hot water in the kitchen or the 2nd bathroom which meant the whole family had to use the ensuite in the main bedroom that has no door, rather uncomfortable. There were broken tiles everywhere and each item had to be washed before it can be used, which would have been less annoying if there was some hot water. To top it off the owners were rather quick to ask for a damage deposit, but are ignoring any communication to pay it back.

Unit is okay, would be better if owner responded on request for refundable deposit.

The location is incredible with exceptional privacy. Lots of animal activity most of the day around the house which the kids loved.
