Very good directions and check- in details supplied by owner Niles. Lovely position of cottage with peaceful surroundings and a very comfortable firm king size bed with everything needed for self catering and a very welcome indoor wood burning fireplace that kept us warm .

Beautiful location that brings peace to the soul and mind . The quiet location and the natural beauty of the Karoo made it worth the effort. The hostess is kind and accommodating. Do remember it's for hi clearance vehicles/LDV or 4X4 to get to venue.

I think there is an electrical short in the shower area as everytime we touched the shower head and tap we would get a light shock. The shower also maybe needs a curtain or door as once we were both done the floor was soaked.

Expect to eat outside or on your laps in the sitting room. If the weather is good, the first option is perfect.

Wow, what lovely accommodation! The house is very tastefully equipped: The bedroom has a very comfortable bed and the kitchen has everything one needs for self-catering purposes.The farm-style setting is extremely peaceful and beautiful! No soap / body wash in the shower was unexpected, but lovely hand wash at the basin.

This farm cottage is a respite from the husstle and bustle. Quiet, serene, beautiful stars. Everything you need for a comfortable stay. Authentically decorated and loved the thoughtful and trusting idea to leave books for the visitors as there is no TV.

For us the bed was too hard but we will stay over again

That it was far away from any lights or noise! It was super quite and you could see the stars! If we had the time we would have stayed longer! We will definitely recommend Sunbird and we will stay over again. Thank Niles for your directions😊

The 6 km gravel road was somewhat of a challenge, but not a problem if you take it slowly.

Lovely cottage with all required amenities. Beautiful setting with great birdlife and mountains. Firewood was supplied upon request and we enjoyed the fire and star gazing in the Karoo. Highly recommended and we will be back!

Really only a few minor details. Kitchen sink would have been happy with a decent plug, the coffee plunger might need to be renewed, an extra light bedsheet between duvet and mattress covers for those very warm nights.

Natural surroundings, various hiking opportunities, beauty of the area, privacy, nice stoep to sit and relax, very accommodating and friendly hosts, cared for interior and exterior.
