Teremok is a little bit of magic and we couldn’t recommend it highly enough. If you are visiting the area this is the best place - everything was thought of - we felt so welcome, the place was spotless and Ninette, Kim and team couldn’t do more for us. We loved it

Very beautiful, well located guesthouse with a fantastic staff. The guesthouse manager Ninette is fantastic at helping with dinner suggestions and reservations as well as things to do and to see in Durban. There is even a shuttle service from the hotel bringing you to the restaurant and back, if you like. We had dinner at a beautiful restaurant observing thunder and lightning over the sea as it was rainy that day. Our room was fantastic with a sea view and we loved it. Breakfast was delicious, fresh and with a good variety.

We had the room with skylights so we were awoken by the sunlight at 6:00 in the morning.

Wow - if you like funky and quirky with style then come to this place. A real gem! Excellent service - by far the best breakfast EVER!

The bed was a bit uncomfortable - a little hard. But everything else was great.

A lovely stay in a beautiful room with an eclectic decor. Treated ourselves to a massage at the on-site facility and it was divine. Breakfast was scrumptious.

Beautiful gardens , secure and private . Homely feel with comfortable and spacious rooms . We were in the Milkwood Suite , which was upstairs and had lovely garden views from the balcony . Breakfast was exceptional

We loved our stay at Teremok. We stayed in the Zodiac room which was beautifully furnished/designed. Breakfast was fabulous with different menus each day. Fantastic muffins. There is a well stocked honesty bar with good quality wines and beers. Staff were fantastic and hosts were delightful. A rare gem.

This is my favourite romantic getaway in Durban. It's located very close to the Umhlanga city centre and incredible beachfront. The rooms are luxurious, the spa is well-appointed and we always wish our stay could have been a little bit longer.

Everything was 100% to our liking.

The moment I entered the lodge, I was sorry we had only booked for one night. Very nice ambience, our room Milkwood was amazing (honeymoon suite). The interior design and the view - great. We had booked massages and a facial in their spa. I can highly recommend both - very professional and very good job. In the evening they took us by car to a restaurant and picked us up again. We really appreciated that. The restaurant suggestion was a very good one. The breakfast was tasty, with different healthy varieties to choose from. I would say, that it was a wonderful breakfast. We sat outside and enjoyed the view into the exotic garden and pool. Don‘t forget to order a cappuccino. Excellent. I also want to mention that they supply their guests with mosquito repellent, pool towels and even a panic button at your bed side. I thought this very attentive and I appreciated it.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Staff were attentive, breakfast was fresh and delicious and premises were peaceful with only a 10/15min walk from the beach. Would highly recommend if you’re looking for a quiet place close to the action in Umhlanga

Our stay was the perfect end to our South African adventure. Beautiful and homely place to wind down after weeks of safaris. The decor was beautiful and quirky, something interesting in every corner. Lush gardens and calling sea views and breezes. The attention to detail was exceptional. I had read the reviews about the breakfasts, and they were accurate. Absolutely delicious and always with a personal touch. Thank you so much. We will be back

I like everything about Teremok.

Great location, spacious and creatively furnished rooms. Breakfast, lunch and dinner was excellent and incredibly varied. We were able to eat what we wanted. To our surprise, they got out of their way to buy us something that we wanted for breakfast that was not in their menu...... The staff were all very friendly and helpful and no request for assistance was a problem for them. There is a personal touch to everything they do. Siphe, Ninette, Kim, Zee at the spa...all of them make Teremok a home away from home. Simply outstanding! I so miss the complimentary coffee station. I will definitely come back
