The shower rose in my room (Grain) needs to be replaced or repaired as well as the hand towel holder that is pulling out of the wall. Also, there is nowhere to hang or pack clothing in the rooms.

We loved the property and the beautiful gardens. The rooms were very comfortable and warm. Leandra was the most generous, kind and gracious hostess, offering to do my mom's hair and make-up for a wedding she was attending that day. She also very kindly drove my mom to the wedding venue at Forest Hill.

Large property with a beautiful garden. The rooms are quite small, and we had the misfortune of some students making a lot of noise. However, after a phone call with the owner at 9:30 pm, this was resolved. Compared to where we stayed in South Africa before, this was the least favorable, hence the score of 8.

Warm welcome, location, easy checking in. We arrived at 1pm but we were allowed to check in before 2pm. The place is beautiful and clean. If they may please make sure that they do housekeeping by putting toilet paper and change towels. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay and felt at home.

The room had no division between the bedroom and the toilet and shower. This meant that there was no privacy when using the toilet or shower! The light bulb over the bathroom area needed replacing and the shower door stuck so badly that I was afraid I would need rescuing!

The location is not bad for Piet Retief - town is noisy with heavy trucks passing through. The gardens and settings are good. It is pretty peaceful.

Easy quick stay. We arrived on a Sunday when everything was closed so isn't see the area. We had a problem with our room and were able to move quickly to a different room.

The breakfast weren't up to expectations. We weren't given any choices on how we prefer our eggs and toast. We were given scrambled eggs, where I prefer fried and we were given white bread where I prefer brown. Other than this there is nothing I could complain about.

The tranquility of the well kept garden and the well maintained facilities were refreshing. This coupled with the value for money makes this my first choice for accommodation in Piet Retief.
