Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Small thing, I personally don't like the plastic grass on the balkony.
The easy going host does a tremendous job. Nice modern apartment, secure complex and a walk away from Doodles resto.

The shower was really difficult to control, it seemed to be extremely sensitive. We mentioned this to our host at the end of our stay and he assured us it would be looked at.
It was our first time in Cape Town and we were a little concerned over safety but this was unnecessary as the security was excellent. The area is nice and quiet and we felt perfectly safe to walk around. The property was furnished to a high standard with good quality appliances in the kitchen, a comfortable sofa and super comfy bed. There was very little noise from the neighbours and we slept really well. There are lots of nice restaurants just a short drive away. Our host was great at keeping in touch to make sure we were okay.. Really enjoyed our stay.

This property is incredible! The best of the best!! The place was in immaculate condition, top-of-the-range appliances, a luxury bed, fully equipped! Sim was so kind and welcoming! This property is for sure on my favourites list!

Security at the gate not very helpful when my remote got faulty or friendly but Sim was on call to take this feedback and assist!
The apartment was exactly how it was described! It was clean and fresh! Sim was on call and went out of his was to accommodate last minute request or answer questions!🙏

Everything was perfect besides that hot water in the shower, the mixer didnt seem to work so nicely , but i did bring it to t the attention of the owner
The location was superb. It was close to all amenities as well as the beach. The owner of the property contacted me on a daily basis to make sure everything is still ok and that i am enjoying my stay.

Where do I start? Wow, everything was absolutely amazing. The host Sim was so kind and welcoming. He always checked up on us everyday. The area is literally the Beverly Hills Of Capetown. The views are mesmerizing. The apartment was so cozy, a home away from home. The place was fairly easy to find.

The bathroom is very poorly designed. Toilet is very close to the shower making it quite uncomfortable to do the necessary.

The residential area in which the property is situated can be like a maze if you're not familiar with the area. Google maps helps with this though. Bedroom is a bit small. Not spacious enough for two people to comfortably move around in, but it is very cosy.
I liked that the property was secure with 24 hour security at the gate. It was close enough to the beach and restaurants. A 7 min drive from the beach front restaurants and 10 min drive from the closest mall. Property was very clean and additional supplies were left for us. Pool is accessible on the property. Furniture in the apartment is very modern. Just overall a very aesthetically pleasing place. Secure parking for your car allocated to the apartment. Host checked up on us throughout our stay and was always helpful with whatever enquiries or needs we had. Will definitely go back.
