Makanda delivers everything that you might expect and possibly a little bit more. It's pure luxury and the service is sublime. The swimming pool is fantastic and we loved private the beach area. The room are very beautiful. The restaurant is outstanding.

Breakfast, A lot of variety and changing everyday. Randall and Sharoon gave us the best experience. The Fruits were so fresh and the egg station was really good Pool, A lot of variety and even an Adult only pool. Monkey Trail, Spa and Everything was really perfect.

This hotel is located about 2 km from Quepos, 5 minutes’ drive from Manuel Antonio National Park. Its spacious suites have a kitchenette and jungle views, and there is an outdoor pool.

Beautiful hotel with some jungle vibes! The rooms were huge, always spotless, I don’t understand how you can have a hotel so close to nature and still absolutely ZERO bugs inside (ofc you must keep your windows closed for this). The pool area was lovely, I could’ve spend hours there just watching the birds and monkeys. The area in general is not very walkable, but if you have a car or take the bus, the location is great. 5-10min drive to restaurants, beach, the national park. The roads are narrow and steep but the traffic is calm and considerate. The staff at Plaza Yara were also super helpful and kind, we absolutely loved staying here. 100% recommend!

We loved the room on the top floor! Early morning we could hear and see the monkeys running around on the terrace and on top of our room. The view from the balcony was stunning as well. We loved it there!!!

LOCATION. You cannot be any closer to Manuel Antonio park than this. in the evening chilling next to the pool we had 2 raccoons visiting us. entrance to the park is 2 minutes by foot. and beach 5 minutes by foot. Structure of the hotel in general is very nice. we really liked our stay here.

staff are really wonderful, breakfast was great, eggs made to order. wonderful coffee and juice. The pool and landscaping is lovely and its an easy walk to the beach and national park. smoothies and cocktails were great there at the bar by the pool. Monkeys iguanas and red eye frog on property.
