Lovely hotel very close to the train station in the center of Orleans, completely in the historical district. There are lots of restaurants and nightlife close by, but our room was very quiet and tranquil, with a window opening up to an inner courtyard. The bed was comfortable. The staff were very nice. The hotel paid attention to small details. I would definitely stay there again.

Characterful well run hotel, elegant bedroom with cotton sheets, thick fluffy towels, bath plus shower, warm and quiet, excellent fresh buffet breakfast with good coffee and plenty of choice, easy and economical access to Orleans via local bus service, handy shops nearby, ample parking and garden setting. Would stay again with pleasure.

Absolute pleasure in staying in a chateau with the owners Nicola and Christine whose family went back centuries. Wonderful detail and care taken with the interiors and surrounds. From driving up the driveway to the staircase inside and the gorgeous room overlooking over the green lawn the chateau made for a relaxing and pleasurable stay. As enjoyable as it was to visit the local areas it was truely a pleasure to enjoy a picnic lunch in the lawns surrounding the chateau.

Set in an abbey dating back to the 11th century, Grand Hôtel de l'Abbaye is located in Beaugency, 24.5 km from the Chateau de Chambord.

It’s located in a quiet, pleasant town. There is a lovely park on the doorstep and a good restaurant next door. The hotel accommodation was comfortable and clean. It was easy to contact and my queries were speedily dealt with.

We were greeted with a smile and received a warm welcome. L'Oree des Chênes is a beautiful hotel with well tendered grounds. We took our small dog with us and we would stay there again. Breakfast and dinner were excellent. The staff were very helpful and friendly.
