This is a lovely pub hotel in a charming quiet historical village, with very friendly owners and staff. We liked everything about it, the rooms, the food and overall cleanliness. A great place to stay when visiting Stamford. We'd come back here any day. Very warmly recommended.

We had a wonderful experience at The White Hart — an absolutely lovely and pastoral place, with a high standard of hospitality. Both the accommodation and the food were excellent, everything felt so genuinely and delightfully English — in the best possible way. The atmosphere was calm and pleasant, the surrounding area is beautiful and peaceful, and there’s a certain gentle breeze in the air that makes it all even more enjoyable. The staff were all unfailingly helpful and friendly, and the facilities excellent. No problem travelling with my dog who was made welcome. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the Talbot to others or to stay there again.
