Built in 1903, the iconic Taj Mahal Palace stands majestically opposite the Gateway of India, overlooking the Arabian Sea. Our stay at the Taj Mahal Palace in Mumbai was, quite simply, impeccable. From the moment we arrived, the Palace lived up to its considerable reputation. The staff throughout the hotel were consistently exceptional — perfectly trained, unfailingly courteous, and ever attentive without being in the least intrusive. Every request was met with effortless efficiency. Breakfast each morning in the Sea Lounge was an absolute highlight — a splendid combination of buffet and à la carte offerings, all of the highest quality. The selection was truly impressive, catering to every palate with ease and refinement. We particularly appreciated the calm, elegant setting overlooking the Arabian Sea, while the live musician performing outside added an understated charm to the mornings. We would, however, recommend arriving before 9 a.m. to avoid the later rush. A small but thoughtful gesture exemplified the essence of Taj hospitality: upon mentioning to the breakfast manager that I had a mild stomach ache, he immediately arranged for fresh coconut water — a simple act of kindness delivered with genuine concern. Additionally, I appreciated the manager of the Shamiana restaurant going out of his way to package a couple of servings of rasmalai for us. We also greatly enjoyed the hotel’s guided tour, which was a delightful blend of joviality, history, and insight. It offered a deeper appreciation of the Palace’s remarkable heritage and the many stories woven into its walls. We happened to stay during Diwali, and the festive atmosphere only enhanced the ambience. The hotel was beautifully adorned, yet the sense of calm and refinement remained perfectly intact. The concierge, too, was flawless — there seemed to be no request they could not manage.

One of the best Hotels that I’ve ever stayed at, the staff is something from heaven , the hospitality from the day we checked in till the day we check out is phenomenal. One of the best locations in Mumbai the hotel located in. I want to thank all the staff, specially Mrs. Himani Charna , the duty manger she’s one of the best managers who can solve and deal with any issue you could imagine. The smart luxury and intuitive service of the Conrad Hotels & Resorts brand debuted in India with Conrad Pune. In a hotel of this class, the difference in facilities is no longer significant. There is a natural limit somewhere beyond which further upgrades no longer make sense. Excellent service by all staff. Have to mention the names of Soham, Sakshi and Azhar specially. One of the best breakfast I had and wonderful lounge facilities.

Excellent accommodation in the best area of ​​Bombay. Main attractions very close and restaurants with delicious food (in kala ghoda). The hotel itself is perfect, the facilities are very good, with conditionar air and good wifi, the cleanliness is impeccable, the breakfast is delicious (especially the masala chai and the omelette) and the service is very good (especially from sadhana, who was very kind and helped us with everything we asked or needed). I would stay at this hotel again and especially recommend it to Western tourists looking for a quiet place to stay.
