Set in a characteristic wooden house, Við Lónið Guesthouse is an accommodation in Seyðisfjörður. This should be one of the most comfortable hotels I've stayed at during this trip. The stunning lake and mountain views are truly exceptional, and it's also conveniently close to the famous little church. I even had the privilege of witnessing the Northern Lights while enjoying a beer on the balcony at night. I believe everyone should definitely not miss this place. By the way, The apartment host is super friendly.

Great hot tub on the deck overlooking the sea. Spectacular drive over the mountain pass and through the fjord to reach the cottage. Helpful and friendly host.

Set along the Seydisfjordur Fjord, these cottages are less than 3 km from the town of Seydisfjorudur. Each offers impressive panoramic views and a large terrace with an outdoor hot tub and BBQ. This Fjord that the house is located in is one of the most beautiful! The house is absolutely perfect and comfortable. It is cozy, warm and clean. The hot tub on the deck is fantastic! I highly recommend staying here!

Ormurinn Cottages se nachází ve městě Egilsstadir. Ve všech prostorách je zdarma dostupné Wi-Fi. Chata má kuchyňský kout, TV s plochou obrazovkou a terasu s grilem (k dispozici pouze v létě). Celý soubor chatek nad jezerem tvoří krásný celek citlivě zapadající do krajiny. Chatky jsou od od sebe poměrně dost vzdáleny, takže jsme měli pocit dokonalého sokromí. Přitom Egilsstaðir je v docházkové vzdálenosti, pouze přes most, lze tam nakoupit zásoby, natankovat apod. Samotná chatička byla velice pohodlná a dobře vybavená.. Celou dobu pobytu nám dělal společnost břehouš černoocasý, toho času ve svatebním hávu. Výhoda je check in pomocí klíčů v bezpečnostníé schránce , není nutné stíhat konkrétní čas příjezdu. I cena nám přišla ( na islandské poměry) rozumná. Není co vytknout, určitě bychom se sem vrátili.

So well stocked ( yoga mat for me, coffee machine for husband). Everything has been thought of to ensure your comfort. Host came to greet us personally ( a first for me and I’ve booked many places like this) and came to check everything was fine a couple days into our trip. Sauna and hot tub amazing. No where can be more highly recommended.

Set in a renovated farmhouse, this guest house is located by Lake Lagarfljót in Eglisstadir village. We had an absolutely great stay at this hotel! Everything exceeded my expectations, making our trip unforgettable. The room was perfect: beautifully designed, incredibly comfortable, and had a super charming atmosphere. It truly felt like a cozy retreat after a long day of exploring. The dining experience was another highlight. The restaurant was excellent, offering delicious and high-quality meals. Coupled with a perfect breakfast each morning, I was fully energized for my adventures. Finally, the reception was really helpful and professional throughout our stay. The most impressive service, however, was their genius idea to alert guests about the Northern Lights! Receiving a timely call about the visible aurora was a fantastic, unique touch that ensured we didn't miss the spectacular show. A huge thank you to the entire team for providing such a wonderful experience. Highly, highly recommended!

Snæfell - Hotel by Aldan se nachází 500 metrů od trajektového terminálu Smyril Line v Seydisfjörduru. Wi-Fi a parkování jsou zdarma. Got stuck in Seyðisfjörður in a snow storm and this was the nicest and coziest place to be till it was over. Good people - the staff and the other guests! After the storm I got the see the landscape outside my window which was just stunning. I relied on public transport and the bus stop is just on the other side of the road.
