The location of this hotel is spectacular! The landscape was out of this world. The road to get the hotel was a bit of challenge but well worth the effort. Just take your time and enjoy the ride! The included breakfast was tasty and filling. Our room was tastefully decorated and clean. The hotel is quiet and safe. The staff were friendly and welcoming.

Located in the fishing village of Patreksfjördur with panoramic views of the fjord, this guesthouse has free WiFi and a guest kitchen. Room size is in line with most rooms in Iceland. If you are 2, you'll have to manage with not having your bags open all the time. Common kitchen and living room are great. Breakfast was one of the best in our trip. Common baths were enough, luckily we did not have to wait to shower. Not in walking distance from supermarket, but very close to Stukuhusid nice restaurant and the public swimming pool, both great.

Lovely building that feels like a museum. Don't forget to check out the basement with its antique furniture and radio etc. Comfy beds, good shower, great floorboards and original decor. It wasn't built as a lodge, so noise does penetrate but this is a reflection of the behavior of the guests, nothing else. And no, bed bugs don't exist.
