Miyajima
Miyajima Guesthouse Mikuniya is a traditional Japanese-style guesthouse located on Miyajima (Itsukushima). It has a beautiful Japanese garden and a large living room, creating a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. Our friendly mascot cat will welcome you! Highlight of my trip, I wish we stayed 2 nights not just one. Great hospitality and wonderful facilities. Personally the futon was very comfortable since I prefer harder matress. A 15 minute walk from the ferry terminal, very close to the main attractions.
Miyajima
Only a 5-minute drive from Miyajima Ferry Port with its free shuttle, beautiful ocean views can be enjoyed from Miyajima Seaside Hotel. The hotel features a public bath, a karaoke room and free WiFi at the lobby. The view was amazing, the dinner was very varied and tasty, it had around 10 different small dishes with different types of Japanese foods. We also went to onsen that was clean and enjoyable. The shuttle bus was very convenient - hotel offering an evening ride to see the Torii gate lighten up and the we went there again in the morning after checking out and once we were done sightseeing hotel delivered our luggage to the port and we went back to mainland.
Miyajima
Jukeiso features Japanese-style rooms overlooking the majestic entrance gate (Torii) of Itsukushima-jinja Shrine, only a 5-minute walk from the Unesco World Heritage Site itself. The hotel offers public and private hot baths and a free shuttle to/from Miyajima Ferry Terminal. Free Wi-Fi is provided at the lobby. The Ryokan is very close to the Itsukushima Shrine and the Momijidani Ropeway. So its very convenient to visit the Shrine at 6.30, return for breakfast and then head to the ropeway which begins service by 9.00. The staff were very polite and helpful. The breakfast and dinner were excellent, especially the vegetarian meal. It is a short walk away from the ferry terminal, but the Ryokan offers a shuttle service for pick-up and drop.
Miyajima
Just a 7-minute walk from Itsukushima Shrine, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Combining modern design with a homely decor, Kikunoya Hotel offers both Western and Japanese-style rooms. Entertainment options include cable channels and a DVD player. Certain rooms include an en suite bathroom. Toiletries and slippers are provided for in the private and shared bathroom.
A well equipped property with enough space and everything that could have been wished for.
Onomichi
Offering sea views, Onomichi Guest House Miharashi-tei is an accommodation set in Onomichi, 70 metres from Senkoji Temple and 700 metres from Onomichi History Museum. With a bar, the 2-star guest house has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi, each with a shared bathroom. The accommodation offers a shared kitchen, full-day security and luggage storage for guests. This might have been one of the best places we stayed in Japan. The room was right above the cafè but very quiet and cute with an incredible view. The cafè downstairs was delightful and had a lovely view. The coffee and tea were incredible. You can even eat your own food there. All the bathrooms are shared but that's no problem at all. The price was fantastic for what we got. We also enjoyed talking to other guests. The view from the lookout above the shrine is also spectacular.
Miyajima
Oyado Tsukiusagi is set in Miyajima, 600 metres from Five Storey Pagoda, less than 1 km from Itsukushima Shrine, as well as a 15-minute walk from Daisho-in Temple. Miyajima
Located right in front of Miyajima Aquarium and a 5-minute walk from Itsukushima Shrine's exit, Mizuhasou offers accommodations in a modern yet traditional décor. Free Wi-Fi is available at the entire building. Miyajima Ferry Terminal is a 15-minute walk away. Very comfy room and excellent service and attention. They even contacted Booking because of a charging error that I hadn't even realized about and solved it before I ever notice it. The japanese breakfast was really good, lots of different things to sample and very well prepared. Excellent location at a walking distance from everything in town.
Miyajima
Located in the World Heritage Miyajima Island, Iwaso features Japanese-style accommodations with beautiful surrounding views. Guests can relax in the indoor and outdoor hot-spring baths and request for massages. A free shuttle is available from Miyajima Ferry Terminal, which is also a 5-minute walk away. The attention to detail at this resort was impeccable, as was the quality of service. It is perfectly situated, being far enough away from the crowds, but within easy walking distance of the Torii gate, the "downtown" area, and the ropeway station for the ride up the mountain. Adjacent to the facility is a picturesque stream with the quintessential red colored pedestrian bridge. Be sure to sign up for the delicious breakfast and dinner; the same meal enjoyed by the heads of state at the recent G7 Summit held here. I will definitely be returning with my spouse to bask in the peace and tranquility of Miyajima.
Miyajima
ITSUKUSHIMA IROHA is located in Miyajima’s Omotesando Avenue, a 5-minute walk from Itsukushima Shinto Shrine and Miyajima Pier. The hotel offers a restaurant and Japanese-style rooms with free wired internet access. Beautiful property, excellent staff AND amazing dinner. Just incredible.
Sakaiminato
Onyado Nono Sakaiminato Natural Hot Spring is situated in Sakaiminato, within 50 km of Hirata Honjin Memorial Museum and 25 km of Matsue Castle. The property is set 25 km from Lafcadio Hearn Memorial Museum, 29 km from Lake Shinji and 49 km from Atagoyama Park. The accommodation offers a sauna, hot spring bath, restaurant and free WiFi. The location is wonderful! Across is the JR station. Breakfast is amazing! Hotel even provide free ramen at night. Popsicles or yogurt at the hot bath floor. We really like this hotel!

Lots of flexibility. Clean rooms, place to cook, laundry facilities, place to sit and relax outside of room. One of our fav places to stay. Lovely and kind staff
Luxury, location, spacious room, lovely staff
Perfect Location, connected to train station. Impeccable service, staff were all genuine warm smiles and bent over backwards to help their customers. The front office staff helped me with every booking (haircut, nail appointment, restaurant bookings, train tickets, you name it!) They were absolutely lovely to deal with and the meals we had at the hotel were delicious, especially the lounge treats were very good. Okayama was my favorite place to relax as it's not overcrowded like many other big Japanese cities.
Loved the private onsen with the view of the shrine. The hotel was very grand and our room with the view was so spacious and pretty. The restaurant staff were lovely. and the food delicious although mostly seafood which i didnt mind.. The shuttle to the town was handy also.We has tea and red bean snack in our room (provided) which was nice. Relaxing stay in a grand hotel.
Loved the views and location The guest lounge was a real highlight for us A lovely place to relax after a busy day exploring
Close to the station . Lovely terrace with city view . The staff were very helpful we stayed for an hr on the roof top in the afternoon after exploring the city after our morning checkout until our train time. It was very refreshing as it has outdoor lounge and shade to relax for a while insted of waiting in the waiting rooms at the train station . Lovely staff . Bathroom was good and spacious .. fully renovated. Little kitchen was helpful too.
Absolutely gorgeous self contained villa. Comfortable bed, good shower, lovely outdoor bath. Well stocked self service bar. Simple check in at the ryokan down the hill - friendly service, a great dinner and a good breakfast. Just lovely. I would love to stay here for a week or more.
Everything, what a wonderful place and so relaxing. The staff are great, the food is great and the rooms are lovely
Japanese breakfast was great, memorable. Having the yakatas and free bar was a bonus. Roof top terrace was lovely, and with the blankets and private booths the whole area was very pleasant to relax in. Onsen was lovely.
