The front desk at Hotel Los Tambos Boutique can arrange a 2-day regional mountain bike tour, or rafting on Chili River. I arrived in Arequipa on Monday afternoon (30 December 2024), and twisted my ankle 5 minutes into my Walking Tour. I did not get a chance to see any of Arequipa’s attractions or celebrate New Year’s Eve. I stayed indoors for 2 days to heal my swollen ankle. The team took care of me in the following ways: * Moved my luggage from my room on the 4th floor to Ground floor (because the lift was not working) * Gave me ice (for my swollen ankle) in the morning, afternoon and night every day from Monday until Thursday * Served breakfast in my room on Tuesday and Wednesday (it was so delicious!) * Helped me to call LATAM and Copa Airlines for me to change and confirm my flights (I was on hold for a long time on multiple attempts) * Advised me on which Tours to take (and arranged for Ruta del Sillar) and restaurants to go to based on my limited mobility My heartfelt appreciation to everyone who was on duty during my stay: Milagros, Fiorela, José, Lino, Enrique, Favian, Jhorly, Nadhia & Saly. They took good care of me and made me feel at home when I was traveling alone and so far away from home.

There is a fully equipped private bathroom with shower and free toiletries. We had the best time at this hotel and recommend it to everyone. The owners, Walter and Pepita, and all their staff are so lovely, helpful, and their food is delicious. Also, there are alpacas, sheep and puppies on the property that are friendly. The view from the rooms and the restaurant are incredible and it's right next to the Condor Cross viewpoint. You can see as many condors here as at the viewpoint, but could also walk or drive to the viewpoint to get a closer look. And most importantly - the owners were so helpful and kind; anything you needed they found a way. We watched as they pointed out condors, fixed one guest's broken trekking backpack, and when we had car issues he coordinated someone nearby to help.

The property features a terrace with panoramic views of the city and the volcanoes. The terrasse on top has an amazing view! Even though the hotel is directly at the main square, the rooms were quiet and the outside noise was not notable in the hotel.

Arequipa's main square is 300 metres away. The room was well set up, comfy bed, and the best shower we’ve had travelling South America! They let us check in early post an overnight bus which made a huge difference to our stay in Arequipa. Breakfast included was also a bonus!

Rooms at Hostal Solar de Arequipa are decorated in lively colours. They feature balconies and large windows, making them very bright during the whole daylight. This is a gem of a place . Such nice rooms and the terrace is to die for , the rooms are so clean the bathrooms too , the location is just perfect - 5 mins walk to everything . The property is so beautiful, the breakfast on terrace is mesmerizing. I can’t think of staying anywhere else if I ever do come back . Arequipa is a beautiful place , plenty of sunshine all the time , the cobbled streets the restaurant the ambience . Such a nice hotel
