The design is stylish yet cosy, making it easy to feel at home right away. Everyone on the team was friendly and welcoming, but two people truly deserve a special mention. Yarelis greeted us each morning with her contagious smile, kindness, and genuine care – the perfect start to the day! Daniël was always helpful and making sure everything went smoothly during dinner. Their thoughtfulness made our stay even more memorable. The food was excellent – fresh, creative, and clearly made with love. It’s the kind of place where you feel both relaxed and well looked after. If you get the chance to visit, don’t think twice!

I liked everything: the room, the furniture, the central heating, the bathroom, the cleanliness, the mattress, the welcome (free) tea / coffee, the decoration, the breakfast (not included but with great food for a fabulous price), and the sympathy and availability of the staff.

As you drive up to the house, you will drive all the way around the cathedral and enter parking on the backside of the cathedral. Depending on the number of cars parked in cathedral square, you might have to turn left around them to enter thru the gate of #25. If you see #27, do not continue on the road to the right. The entrance to parking in a gated courtyard is to the left of 27. Once you are there, however, the hostess is so very nice and the location is perfect. The home is beautiful, filled with antiques and charm, and there’s a pleasant garden to sit in. Our room was perhaps a little smaller than the average hotel room, but with a comfortable bed, super modern bathroom, and view of the garden. The house is air conditioned. We wished we’d planned 2 days to potter around Guarda and enjoy. As other guests have advised, there is one, big set of stairs you have to go up with your luggage. In the morning, breakfast is at the base of those stairs. No ramp or elevator. Breakfast was lovely: meat and cheese, cereal, fruit, bread, fresh jams, a sampling of cakes and coffee/tea/juices/water.
