Surrounded by 80 000m² of beautiful gardens, this 5-star hotel is 4 km from Évora city centre and housed in a renovated 15th-century convent. It offers a piano bar and free parking. LOVED this place. Full of history and ambiance. We ate at the restaurant for dinner and it was fabulous. Great sommelier! The breakfast was amazing. What a selection. We also booked spa treatments so it was super relaxing. We enjoyed the fact that it was outside of Evora for some relaxation and quiet time.

São Lourenço do Barrocal is located in the foothills of the medieval village of Monsaraz and nearby the Alqueva lake. Beautiful place carefully restored to preserve the history of the estate. Staff is extremely friendly and offer hospitality no other 5 star hotel offers! We will definitely come back to enjoy it again

Super quiet in the middle of a small romantic town with its own chocolate factory. Very nice staff that let us taste some of the amazing chocolate - great experience!

Tento hotel se nachází na venkově, 5 minut jízdy od Évory, jednoho z nejvýznamnějších historických měst Portugalska a slavného římského chrámu. Ubytování v samostatném domku v rámci zemědělské usedlosti. Mimořádně přátelští majitelé a velmi krásné prostředí celé usedlosti. Škoda, že jsme zde mohli být jen jednu noc.

Staying at the charming Casa do Escritor offered us all we desired for our two night stay in Evora. Our host, Victor, was welcoming and provided us with lots of local knowledge. Our ensuite bedroom was private, separate from the main house, tastefully decorated, and very clean. The pool was an absolute god-send given the already hot temperatures in May! It was also nice to be able to relax in the communal guest living area in the evening. There are also lots of interesting antiques and collectables to admire.

Gorgeous marble throughout. Very spacious and elegant bedroom with balcony to sit in overlooking the pool. Superb breakfast. Great pool complex. Walk 1/2 block to the town square.

We really enjoyed our stay. The hotel had many areas to hang out and have a glass of wine. The rooms were very cozy and clean. Overall, a great stay!!
