Well, where do I start. I missed the connecting boat and didn't make it that night to my room. I contacted Christina, she promptly replied and said no problem, I am booked out for the next few days but pop in and have a Coffee. So when I arrived the next day I did that and popped in, met Christina had coffee and thought what a shame I missed my opportunity to stay here. We'll lucky for me, one of the customers had to leave for Bucharest unexpectedly, Christina then suggested would you like to stay still, is said Yes please, my stay with Christina in her beautiful home in such a unique biodivese area was a real highlight of my time on the Danube. Christina arranged a local guide to take four of us out on a boat trip exploring this magical place, after a day of exploring I come back to a homemade meal with fresh fish polenta & vegetables & a cold beer with my name on it. Famous Local Sturgeon soup the next night, Christina is the Hostess of Sfantu Gheorghe if you are lucky enough to stay there I highly recommend it.

Choose this if you want to stay in Danube Delta. We stayed in a bungalow which is very private and super cute. They have a sister hotel Nena which is located directly at the canal but from Sharaiman it’s 5 minutes walking. Very carefully crafted decorations make a lovely ambience. Nice pool with deck chairs to use. AMAZING FOOD! Go for whatever the waiter recommends and you will be so happy. Also a boat trip was organized just for us - there are different routes you can choose from. We were lucky to spot different kinds of bird species. This is a remote location, perfect if you are looking for peace, quiet and nature. Nice fireplace to sit by in the evening.

La pensione è in una posizione ottima , fuori il casino della cittadella. Immerso nella natura. Noi siamo arrivati la sera tardi e l'host ci ha fatto un check-in personalizzato! È stato super gentile. E la mattina seguente ci ha aiutato a prenotare il traghetto per Sulina! Noi essendo arrivati la notte, abbiamo visto un sacco di animali notturni ( pipistrelli, gufi e volpi) ma la cosa che mi è piaciuta di più è stato il cielo, mi ha investito un cielo pieno di stelle mai viste così tante stelle tutte assieme! Lo consiglio vivamente.

The location overall is amazing. The rooms are very clean, cozy, spacious with a very nice design. The pool area was very nice, with great music, comfortable sunbeds, a small bar, and cocktails. The breakfast was tasty with many options to choose from. The staff was very friendly helpful and attentive. We had an excellent stay here.

Located on a small island in Tulcea, Hotel Insula offers air-conditioned rooms and free WiFi. The on-site restaurant serves Romanian cuisine. Great location. Kind and professional staff. Clean facility and pleasant overall environment. Especially the AC works very well in summer. Great value for money.
