Unique property with such a warm welcome. The host went out of her way to organise food and a taxi for us in the morning - even though the taxi office was closed. The freshly baked (still warm) bread at breakfast was outstanding. Good WiFi.

Dating back to the 14th century, Ronnum Herrgård is housed in a manor at the southern point of Lake Vänern. It offers free Wi-Fi and rooms with a flat-screen TV. Everything was wonderful. Bedding was good quality. Clean and cozy. Breakfast was truly amazing.

Situated on Västra Torggatan pedestrian street in central Karlstad, Home Hotel Plaza is housed in a stylish 1890s Art Nouveau building. It offers free WiFi and rooms with a flat-screen satellite TV. Great accomodation, very reccomended. Arrived by car : there is a private garage in front of the Hotel with a specific tariff for hotel guests; there is also a public open-air parking in the nearby which is cheaper (I used EasyPark app to pay). Perfect room and private bathroom. Great buffet at breakfast, and also the dinner (included in the room price) was great.

Quietly situated in Lidköping's old town, this hotel is 350 metres from Lidköping Train Station. It features a restaurant and a smaller exercise room. Sauna access, WiFi and tea/coffee are all free. Easily best stay I've had in a while. The staff was extremely friendly. Great communication regarding breakfast and holiday hours. I travelled during Christmas and there was a little note and chocolate Santa Clause in my room waiting for me. The room was also nicely decorated with a very cosy feeling. The location was superb; walking distance to everything.

Clarion Collection Hotel Drott lies directly opposite Karlstad Central Station. There is free sauna and hot tub access. Perfect location for us just across the road from the railway station. Spacious room with two armchairs. Great breakfast and dinner included in the price. Really friendly staff. Comfortable bar and lounge for a drink.

Home Hotel Bilan is housed in a former county prison, 50 metres from Drottninggatan shopping street in Karlstad. It offers a private prison museum and rooms with free WiFi. Lovely hotel very close to City centre. Staff were extremely attentive, food was delicious and bed very comfortable. Would definitely come back
