Beautiful experience, I was welcomed warmly by a lady of the staff, who knew basic English, just like most of the stuff I've had the pleasure of meeting. On top of that, they were very friendly and ready to help. There were many useful facilities in the common area I've used, like the fridge, the laundry machine and a scale. I recommend this place, as it also has good access to the metro stations.

Situated in the Asakusa area, Ryokan Asakusa Shigetsu has a history of 70 years. The accommodation boasts a view of the Tokyo Skytree from its Hinoki wood bath.

The staff was welcoming and eager to help. We shipped our luggages a day after our arrival and they even brought the heavy bags to our room in our absence. The ryokan is very well located, near the temple and the small shops. It gets very quiet at night even though it is a very busy area during the day. The room is small but well put together. Minimal decoration, traditional with tatami and comfortable futons. We were also provided with lovely snacks and tea as a welcoming package. The onsen is very intimate and private, with a view of either the temple nearby or the Skytree. We would definitely come back to this lovely ryokan when we will return to Japan!

Size is good for price, cute design with facilities such as washing machine, microwave, electric kettle, rice cooker and stove. Location is nearly perfect, convenience store nearby and easily accessible to Asakusa and Akihabara; both one station away via Tsukuba express. Can also easily access Shinjuku, Ikebukuro, Tokyo, Ginza and other popular tourist spots. Shibuya isn’t too far out either. Staff is responsive, showed clear instructions and rules. Would recommend and return to this spot again if another opportunity arises.

Great place all around. The staff were superb and went above and beyond to help us find a restaurant as well for my partners whose coeliac. The design was cozy, rooms were nice, would for sure come here again.

We had such a great time staying at "Sougyo no Yado South Wing." The room was spacious and clean, with simple yet warm decor that made us feel relaxed the moment we walked in. The location was incredibly quiet, and the surroundings were beautiful—a perfect place to unwind. The area is really peaceful, with lovely scenery, and there’s no noise from the city. The room was fully equipped with everything we needed, including a kitchen, bathroom, and washing machine, making it super convenient—especially for those who want to cook or stay long-term. The bed was extremely comfortable, and we had a great night’s sleep every night. The host was very kind and sent us detailed information before our arrival, so we had no worries about checking in, which felt very thoughtful. Plus, the view outside the room was lovely, providing a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay. The host was friendly and provided lots of helpful information. Whether for a short or long stay, it’s perfect. We’ll definitely choose "Sougyo no Yado South Wing" again next time!

The host waited for us to check in late night. She also very kind to help us moved the luggage. House is well equipped (washing machine, dryer, water heater etc). Rooms are spacious, shower room available on each floor, and it is suitable for big family.
