RussiaIncredible stay at Busuitei! The hosts were very hospitable and helped us enjoy every moment of our stay.
It only took us 8 minutes to get to the hotel from the railway station. This ryokan is a 150 year old building located in a very picturesque part of Hida Furukawa. Our room had an amazing view to the Japanese garden, river, shrine and Hida mountains.
We also loved the family bath and enjoyed an exquisite dinner with Hida beef, medical herbs and different types of miso.
Breakfast was served by a very nice lady in a separate room with a lovely view.
It’s definitely 10/10 for me. Thank you, Busuitei.

IsraelThe hotel is very good situated in Takayama, near the train station and also near the old city.
The staff is extremely helpful and nice (even that they almost speak no English).
The room was big and well equipped. The Onsen is very nice.
Dinner was superb with all kind of Japanese plates. The staff explained every thing what it was and how we were supposed to eat it, everything was served in a beautiful way.

IsraelThe stuff were all amazing, they welcome and shower us with free candy, helped us book dinner in a Great local place and tickets to shirakawa-go, the onsen was great and and the traditional breakfast was different every day and an exeptional experience by itself.
The house is really cool and cozy.
Its a bit far from the station (20 min by foot), but you do get to see a bit of the local town and you can allways take a bus.
If you travel by car its really easy.
All in all, amazing stay

I am very satisfied with the service, the guest rooms, and the hot springs. I suggest ordering sake during dinner and trying the famous Hōrai and Shirayumi sake, which are local specialties. Additionally, I recommend making a reservation in advance for a private hot spring bath. It offers a fantastic bathing experience, and it's very relaxing to have a glass of milk after soaking in the hot spring. We ended up staying in both the Mountain View room and the Premium Suite. The PS was huge! It was beautiful, but older. The private onset was wonderful. I think I preferred the MV room though. It was newer and every detail was perfect. The people were wonderful. The food was incredible. Some things were a little challenging (the tiny firefly squid comes to mind), but I expected that. The ryokan feels very authentic with little hallways going off in all directions! We travelled through Japan for two weeks and this place had my favourite Onsen.
