The room was very spacious. We had our own toilet and shower, which was great. Staff were lovely and kind, happy to provide help and information on Kanazawa's restaurants and attractions. They have umbrellas you could bowwor in case of rain, which came very handy. Tea and biscuits were provided, as well as coffee, fridge and an eating area in the common space. It's also perfectly located in a quiet street, but very close to restaurants, the market and Kanazawa castle grounds with the famous garden. Overall, we loved the place.

Rooms have a tatami (woven-straw) floor and low furniture. Some offer beds, while other rooms come with traditional futon bedding. All rooms are fitted with air conditioning, a flat-screen TV and a fridge. Yukata robes are provided. Perfect slow down stop after a week travelling Japan! Traditional Japanese hospitality at its best, lovely ryonkan not far from Kanazawa. We were travelling with ouf 8 months son and the staff did a fantastic job trying to accomodate our needs. The welcome by the staff upon arrival felt like I was in the White Lotus tv show. The hotel had a very calm and relaxing quality to it. The reception views over the small pond and garden were lovely. We didn't use the public onsen as we had a private one. The traditional robe and pyjamas were a lot of fun. This was very convenient and worthwhile when you are not used to bathing naked in public.
