At the ryokan, the units include bed linen and towels. Just returned from a two night stay in Nunoya Ryokan and can’t recommend it highly enough. The ryokan is in an excellent location, just steps away from restaurants, bakeries, a convenience store and shops. We loved our stay here and would definitely return.

The ryokan is located in a geothermal area, with a number of hot springs nearby for guests to relax in. Very helpful personal. New and clean rooms. We had our own toilet. The breakfast was also very good.

The 3-star ryokan features mountain views and is 20 km from Zenkoji Temple. The ryokan also offers free WiFi, free private parking and facilities for disabled guests. We loved everything about our stay at Yadoya Shiroganeya. Maki is an excellent host and her mother is an amazing cook! The local food of Nagano was delicious and hand picked by Maki herself. We had fun making friends with the resident pets Fukumaru and Kenta. We were even lucky enough to see snow during our stay, but we were cozy and warm inside at all times. There are so many lovely touches to this property that made it one of the most special places we’ve ever stayed. We hope to visit again!

The staff was incredibly attentive, and the dinner was absolutely delicious — a true taste of authentic Japanese cuisine. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a traditional experience!

Located in the heart of Nozawa Onsen, Tanuki offers guests a traditional accommodation with Japanese-style rooms that feature tatami (woven-straw) flooring.

Several hot springs are situated within a 5-minute walk. Outstanding location, apartment and wonderful staff. The coffee and food in the downstairs cafe is very very good. Would definitely stay here again.

This is a traditional ryokan and therefore it’s important to assess it on its own terms. It’s not a luxury hotel, but it is a lovely place to stay. The staff were wonderful, our room was huge and comfortable, the onsen was beautiful and the food was outstanding. I loved the traditional yukata and samue they provided, and the beauty products in the onsen were great. The location is very good- an agricultural town with fields surrounded by mountains- but it is next to a road so it’s not the most scenic. That said, it is very close to an amazing shrine that is one of the most beautiful holy places I have ever experienced.

Berg Marukaneya is located in Nozawa Onsen, 2 km from Lake Hokuryuko. The ryokan is a 3-minute walk from the nearest ski field and has a ski pass sales point. Guests can enjoy a meal at the restaurant. A free public hot spring bath facility called Nakao-no-yu is a minute's stroll away. Amazing time staying at this lovely hotel. They couldn’t have been more accommodating with changes or kinder when we visited.
