A traditional ryokan in the most authentic location. An easy walk from the local train, and well situate for a trip to the local temple, which is well worth a visit. The host was most friendly, and a very wonderful person. The onsen is great and has easy to follow instructions for tourists available. The view over the city at night was truly marvelous. We extended our stay.

They gave special care as we were on honeymoon. Enjoyed the great service. Free entry to the hillside with picnic mat and breakfast bento. Superb! They also helped us call for taxi and was overall very attentive.

Wakasa Annex features an outdoor hot public bath and free WiFi. Other facilities include a 24-hour reception, drinks vending machines and free parking. Todai-ji Temple is only an 8-minute walk. Super welcoming place. We were mesmerized by the decor and the facilities. We wish we could have stayed more nights!

Staying at Hotobil was one of my favorite parts of our whole trip to Japan - and the food was straight up the BEST (and we ate a lot of great meals out there). The location is super easy to access, just a minute away from the main tourist-friendly loop bus through town, in a quiet residential neighborhood - as soon as we stepped through the door, we felt at home, like we were visiting family, not a hotel. Our host is the nicest, most helpful lady, and the best cook. She was also so fast responding to our questions! My dad and I are both fish-ambivalent vegetarians and we made a last-minute request for breakfast (pictured! yes all that just for breakfast!) as well as dinner just a few days before we got there and as I said, they were the two best meals we had all trip. We stayed in the Japanese style tatami room, which was beautiful and almost absurdly spacious for two, with super comfy mattresses and fluffy pillows and duvets. It was enchanting, and we wished we were staying a second night (and yes, there's more than enough to see in Nara for two days).

We stayed one night and enjoyed it very much: delicious dinner and breakfast (Japanese style sets), traditional Japanese-style rooms, lovely onsen, and of course the ceremony in the morning. Would definitely recommend going here if a temple stay is on the bucket list. After dinner (and in the morning), one can wander around the temple area, which is very nice because no other people except the guests staying overnight are around.

Hotel New Wakasa se nachází 12 minut chůze od vlakového nádraží Kintetsu Nara a nabízí pokoje zařízené v japonském stylu, včetně podlah pokrytých typickými rohožemi tatami z tkané slámy. Everything! Services such as private bath and breakfast were decently cheap and were so amazing! Highly recommend!

Tsukihitei se nachází v lese Kasugayama Primeval, který je na seznamu světového dědictví UNESCO. Nádherné místo, úžasná snídaně a večeře v japonském stylu.

The location and the staff :) The futon experience was excellent They gave us 500 yen discount coupon for the souvenir store :)

Hotel Mikasa se nachází 10 minut jízdy bezplatnou kyvadlovou dopravou od vlakového nádraží Kintetsu Nara a nabízí venkovní lázně a jídelnu s krásným výhledem na Naru. Parkování na místě je zdarma. Everything was what I would expect from what was provided in their advertisement. I had a great time there.
