The staffs are all nice and approachable. The foods are all delicious and it’s all different in my 3 night’s stay. My room Is very spacious and I love the private onsen. Location is walkable from the station. And it’s a good exercise to walked from Ryokan to lake Kirinko. I will definitely be back next time. 😊

Nice quiet corner beside a river with running water sounds, beside a rice Paddy field facing mountain views. Breakfast is great, Japanese style with many small dishes serving. In the Yufuin Onsen district of Yufu, close to Kinrinko Lake, Assi House features a garden and a washing machine. Private parking is available on site at this recently renovated property. Lovely place! Outstanding hospitality and breakfast, plus a quirky but nice cat who even comes with a separate user guide 🥰 very comfortable room that was clean and tastefully decorated (I got a western style room because that was the only one left, but the Japanese ones also looked beautiful). Washing facilities and restrooms also great. The Onsen and shower facilities are outside, the Onsen was nice but not very warm since the springs seem to be a bit cooler than elsewhere. Still okay and no problem booking it privately. Note: shower facilities are not available in winter, so you have to keep that in mind. Cat: quirky, chatty, adorable and playful but, as most cats are she has a mind of her own. Not a huge cuddle bug but peaceful and comes over eventually. I'll definitely come back next year!
