Staying in a traditional ryokan house was an unforgettable experience that I recommend to anyone traveling in Japan. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, and their fluent English was a pleasant bonus. We tried the local onsen, which was a wonderful experience. The accommodation is simple, as expected from the traditional style, and all the amenities were completely sufficient. There is plenty to do in the surrounding area. I highly recommend it and thank you for a fantastic stay!

The location was perfect for getting away from the busy streets of Tokyo, though I highly recommend renting a (small!) car to get here, as it is tucked away from public trsnsportation routes. Our room was clean, surprisingly well equipped and comfortable. Service was spot on, communication with our host was easy and quick. We never saw any of the staff though, which made the quality of service just that much more impressive. We were the only guests staying here at the time, so we had all facilities to ourselves (an introvert's dream). There were plenty of instructions in english for all the general how-tos, check-in and check-out was easy using the machine. Prepare to face some bugs around the area, we had a few interesting encounters with moths by the entrance. The room itself was equipped with bugspray and deterrents, though we didn't need them as our room was perfectly wildlife free. The bug screen in the private onsen kept the bugs at bay, allowing us to bathe and sleep while enjoying the sounds and smells of the surrounding nature!

Probably the best hotel we ever stayed in. Outstanding view, staff goes above and beyond and the food was such high quality & beautifully arranged! We had breakfast and dinner (Kaiseki) twice and both was plenty (dinner around 7 courses?). We advise on coming hungry!

Our favourite of the four ryokan we had the pleasure of experiencing in Ryokan. What tipped it was the incredible staff, who went to every effort to make us feel welcome throughout, and managed to walk a perfect line between friendly and professional. We were particularly grateful to the one lady who took charge of both our meals directly; this personal touch - making sure you have the same point of contact throughout your stay - seems to be a feature of Ushiogumo, and was very much appreciated. The room and rotenburo overlooking the beach is beautiful, with ample amenities including a charming coffee stand in the adjoining powder room. Dinner was also excellent, with each course prepared and brought to us individually in our private dining area, as well as a sake tasting set that I thought was extremely generous in its proportions. In fact, I think maybe the most skillful aspect of the whole arrangement is that Ushiogumo does well to screen guests from one another, so that you have the impression that the whole ryokan is put on entirely for your benefit.

Knowing how amazing our stay was, we wish we had stayed 2 nights instead of 1. The e-bikes were a hit, as was the evening meal and the onsen. Room was extremely comfortable. Staff were lovely.

Posizionato a Izunokuni, a 10 km da Tempio Shuzenji, Yumeguri no Yado Yoshiharu mette a disposizione un giardino, un parcheggio privato gratuito e una terrazza. I enjoyed the variety of Onsen. The food was delicious. Staff were so nice too.

Proprio sul lungomare, Izu Hokkawa Seaside Guesthouse 伊豆北川の家 offre alloggi a 2 stelle a Higashiizu e presenta un giardino, una zona spiaggia privata e una sala comune. Nice and cozy traditional place to stay. Very thoughtful and helpful owners.Thank you for give us a ride to the station uphill. Recommended!!!
